Everyone knows about this anyway, so a question about fishing holes in Wrothgar

Ok, so we all know about how certain fishing holes in Wrothgar are giving two fish a cast. Old news; they've already said that they're putting in a fix in the next patch.

But here's the question: why? Why "fix" it? Why not make it the new norm?

Out of all the people I've talked to about it, not a single person has said "Oh yeah, we really hate the fact that these spots are giving two fish per cast; I'll be glad when they take it out." Given how achingly long it takes to get the Master Angler achievement, getting two fish per cast would be a godsend. Why not just switch over all the fishing holes to be like that?

I mean, with the master harvester perk, whenever I'm at a node, I basically bend down, pick it up a second later. 50% harvest times are great. With fishing, I'll cast, and wait, and wait, and wait, and wait, and finally get a fish. If I have the master harvester perk and am *still* waiting 5-10 seconds per cast...well I mean, why not give us two fish per cast then?

Note: for anyone saying "well, in real life fishing you'd have to wait and wait and wait to catch a real fish"...a) this game isn't real life, and b) in real life, to cook four portions of a full meal would take at least 15 minutes, and yet I can do it with the press of a single button. Your statement is NULLIFIED.

You probably nailed the answer there. Not because the game has anything to do with reality, but because the entire idea of catching two fish at a time is amusing in a sort of weird derpy, "how does that make sense" kind of way.

I'm sure it's messed with some people's "immersion." I'm also relatively certain they don't know what immersion actually means.

But, the real reason is... it doesn't make sense. To be fair, there isn't a reason why actually gutting fish couldn't result in two (or more) portions of fish. That'd be a nice change. But as is? Yeah, it's just a weirdness that's going to get ironed out because it's nonsensical. (And, kinda funny.)

Because the benefits of fishing are too over powered... but seriously.

This kind of fix falls into the same category as making monster trophies and trophy fish bound to character.

Beforehand, you could transfer fish via the bank and get master angler on another character without them fishing once (originally, rare fish were consumed on use so you were allowed to only get double credit). Granted, you still had to catch all of the fish on one account and earn Master Angler properly.

That being said, having the Master Angler achievement doesn't really buy you anything. You can color your outfits pink (account-based unlock). Achievement points only affect bragging rights and nothing in game. Additionally, the newer areas went away from awarding a dye for completing the area.

The whole trophy bound to character thing makes me laugh even more with the impending removal of vet levels. Get to 50 and you are instantly a v16 character, but by gum, you are going to have to work for that gossamer winglet on each and every one of your characters.

As for perfect roe, I suspect that the need for perfect roe diminish as more people realize, "Hey, I have enough CPs to not play for a year+ and still be relevant."

That may be why there is only a 51 CP point increase. A test to see if it affects the roe market.
Due to a typo in the system, the area was accosted by the Daedric Prince Moar Lag Brawls.

Also just to test progression speeds... see how fast people burn through those 51 CP.
