So fun to watch and participate in. You guys are beast.

I vote the next two GvGs be on the Alessia Bridge and on top of White Fall Mountain.

Four overall. Two versus Haxus, two versus K-Hole. Though, I guess 5 counting the fight with emp buffs, but it didn't count officially.

Typical answer. Forum exists for opinions. I watched video and asking what is so great in swarming fights. Sorry @Draxys that my post wasn't another portion of flattery.
EDIT: checked another threads of big fights and noticed funny thing: if post is not flattery, replies is always "we don't care about your opinion".

Much easier to not even reply to this post if you dont agree with the fighting style...that way you dont have to worry about a response to your opinion.

You're welcome to have an opinion, but yeah I don't care. I'm not here to please you. God forbid I play an RvRvR game so I can do something else other than run around solo doing 1v1's. When I see a dueling tournament thread, or any kind of dueling/solo video, I usually stay out of it because it has nothing to do with me, and I feel no personal obligation to go in there and bash the way other people play. Even though I'm sure you didn't mean it, that is how your comment came off imo.

I enjoy playing with my friends and the competitive aspect of these fights was thrilling for me. We're not trying to run giant blobs around cyrodiil as all the guilds involved in this first event stay around the 12-16 mark for groups. It's not so large of a group where one person can't make all of the difference. There was a fight I didn't record (because it ended up getting reset due to trolls) where my group was down to 5 players against maybe 10, and then someone got off a great proxy ult drop and killed 4 players by themselves to even it up. You can see in the loss I recorded 4 of my players dropped because I forgot to purge while disengaging and they all got caught in bombards (and a negate?).

Perhaps you haven't played much in a group environment? If you are just watching the video's and haven't personally experienced organised group vs group fights then it'll be hard to understand. I can tell you it is very intense, requires strategy, good team work and individuals experienced in group fights.

Honestly, that GvG was probably the most fun I have ever had in PvP for the longest time. The adrenaline was pumping the entire time, when you are pulling off wins against the best organized EP & DC guilds in the game it is great fun and good fights all round.

    Ok so my reactions:

Way more negates than I thought. Really didn't see that coming at all. I think my expectations are colored there cuz most of my fights against Rage or Haxus I tend to see very few negates, and I really thought people would lean more towards tanky with DPS ult burst. Interesting

You can tell Dynamic doesn't run vamp, very tanky. Favoring standard over leap is intriguing, the heal debuff vs hard burst is fun to see play out. Like negates DKS is ground control which I thought would be less important here but it seemed to work out fine for all involved.

Bat bombs didn't seem to work well, they were well kited which is odd considering how effective ground control was.

A few other things but overall very enjoyable and went against many of my expectations :)

Negates are great... They aren't 1.5 and below amazing, but they serve as a great way to disrupt tempo and protect ground based ulti's.

Leap is still a great burst ulti, but that heal debuff brings so much added utility in combination with other ults that it makes it truly invaluable, especially when you have to stay mobile and can't have someone hanging in the back with a meatbag.

Bat bombs are really deadly, they work great in open world, even in gvg, the problem is mainly when other groups exercise nice denial of mobility, or kiting as you mentioned.

I was running bats during this and it was much more challenging to get in the middle of them. Thus, gap closer was a must. I did get two dawnbreakers dropped on my head from K-hole though. :disappointed:

Haha where there is a standard, you can bet there will be a plethora of talons, and associated CC/burst dmg to capitalize.
