The title says it all do you take the insects to help plants respawn faster or do you just leave them there for someone else to find? I understand if you have a huge haul and can't trash something every now and then if you make an attempt to do it just hit yes.

    I accidentally take them and trash them later. My gold is too deep to worry about saving them. I haven't left an insect behind with malicious intent in a long time.

    Right now, I don't take them because I don't fish. And I'm trying to keep my inventory tidy! There's so many different baits that it soon all adds up. That's what I found when I first started playing anyway. I've decided that I'll wait till later in the game to give fishing a proper go for achievements, maybe.

    EDIT: Ok I misinterpreted the poll! Apologies! If I could remove my vote I would! I took it as meaning do you pick up insects at all. Which I don't. But I also don't pick up plants so the vote is incorrect in the first place :)

    Exactly this. Nothing irritates me as much as this and node ninjas. Just take the insects & destroy them if you need the space.

    And the style mats and other "junk" from chests, dressers, etc. I actually make a tidy profit selling them off in batches. But before I knew to do that I took them from courtesy.

    As a PC player I have an add-on called dustman that will automatically delete any junk I don't want. Any junk I just want to sell to the next merchant i see is automatically marked as junk and sold off automatically when I next visit a merchant (but not guild merchants) so managing it is no problem. Dustman adds nothing to the screen so it is immersion safe.

    This is the same reason I pick all alchemy flowers, too. Want columbine to be more plentiful? Start harvesting blessed thistle....

    That is as bad as the losers that loot chests and leave junk behind.

    The only exception would be when my inventory is full, but I always sell my stuff (or dump it in the bank) as soon as I can, so it doesn't happen too often.

    Yeah, whenever I find one of these chests, I could spit, really. And I find them fairly often, as odd as it is..

    But I don't even take the node... I don't pick bugs or plants up. Sure I did when I first started out, but as said I want to keep my inventory clean. I haven't picked up materials in ages either.

    I used to leave the bugs there, but then I found out that the nodes wouldn't respawn with the bugs still there. So, then I vowed to never leave them behind again. So it is.

    It doesn't make it spawn quicker. It's the same as opening the chest. The timer starts when it's opened rather than when it's looted entirely. You're talking 2 mins of possibly inconveniencing someone. I'd rather the bag space.

    it takes 5 min for the node to destroy itself if you leave the crawlers/worms inside & then at least the same again to reappear, so no one is waiting around for it to come back...

    & I think that's why its annoying to a lot of us. we go from "yay!" to "doh!" in an instant.

    I take them. No real reason not to. Even if there of no use to you personally you can always sell them or donate them to guildies who could use them. If nothing else score yourself some good karma by not leaving a squirming pile of disappointment for the next poor soul who happens upon that node after you.

    I take them, and destroy them later. I was told once that if you leave it, it doesn't respawn for a longer period. Stopped leaving the stuff I don't want/use after that. If it is not true, then sorry for taking things others might want, and then I'll start leaving it again.

    If I have enough inventory space I take them (autoloot) and destroy them later. But if my inventory is full, I'll leave them behind and only take the plants.
