Well...

I think it's time to break the cycle of negativity and make a positive thread for a change :p

I'll start:

- ESO is a great game that allows me to explore all of Tamriel
- I managed to create the perfect character: an Illusionist with a few hidden blades
- I'm a member of 4 great guilds atm: A Flemish Guild and 3 PvP guilds. Each have awesome members
- I'm really looking forward to Thieves Guild, and hoping that the story will be as clever and great as the ones from Oblivion (Ultimate Heist: Elder Scroll) and Skyrim (Nightingales)
- Forum community here is very helpful, and I'm glad I decided to stick around despite a few... moments (Phantasm: Keep it positive, Tryx)
- Thanks to ZOS for making this game, you guys rock
- And thx to all the ppl who post here and keep it positive :p

    • I love exploring all the beautiful and rich environments! And I love finding little secret areas, whether they are intentional or not!
    • Character customisation is very in depth, way more than I thought I'd get before I had the game.
    • I'm able to play a werewolf, a beautiful white furred one! :)
    • I was able to create a thriving charitable guild of werewolves that I love to manage!
    • So many quests! Fun, sad, trivial, and important! All different types!

An awesome game that not only looks great, but also has a great many possibilities!
    • The mixing of class abilities, weapon and guild abilities are just absolutely awesome, you can make so many awesome builds that really fit in with a whole lot of themes!
    • Awesome lore with an equally beautiful world and sound that is very immersive to just wander around and enjoy the land of Tamriel.
    • Vampires and Werewolves! Finally an MMO that allows the player to become the monster!
    • The roleplaying community is rich, with a whole lot of awesome people!
    • The crafting is just wonderful beyond belief, the best I've ever seen in an MMO, you have so many possibilities and its all up to you how it looks!
    • A bright future ahead, Zenimax can pull it off. Sure there are bugs on the way, but those shall get squashed!

I came from the single player ES games, MMOs have never been my thing. However, Zenimax/Bethesda made ESO to feel as close as possible as a single player ES would do! I don't have to play with others, I'm not forced in any way, I can stick to what I know and go. There are many interesting and engaging quests, characters, exciting role-playing elements and so much to do and see. I consider every MMO element in this game as a huge bonus and a niiiice addition to the overall richness and life of the environment.

Basically, the foundation of this game is just phenomenal, rich and deep. The fact that Zenimax is committed to updating, refining and tweaking things in the main game is even better. This says a person who was VERY reluctant to the whole ES- going-O idea, and a person who disliked the subscription thing. I'm VERY grateful that I didn't turn my back on this game, it adds so many interesting ideas, moments and characters to the overall Elder Scrolls lore. I feel I haven't even scratched the surface.

    A huge +++ from me.

One of the things I like about the game that is different from some of the other games I have played is that the entire world is an active play area. Using WoW as an example, many of the zones are solely for leveling and nothing else. No one goes back to Badlands or Duskwood once the have leveled past it, unless they are looking for crafting materials. There is nothing to do there. WoW players tend to hang out in whatever is provided by the latest expansion, plus a couple of the racial home cities. And the Garrison, of course. Old hangouts from previous expansions are quickly abandoned.

Tamriel has a major city in almost every leveling zone and those cities tend to attract the players, no matter what level they are. Sure, players hang out in Orsinium right now, but they also hang out in base zone main cities like Wayrest, Davon's Watch, Mournhold, Rawl'kha, Daggerfall, and others. They may be outside of the level for the zone, but the various cities have crafting stations, banks, and services. They are more than just waypoints on some quest line. This makes the whole world more alive. ZOS needs to preserve this by making sure we always have a reason to not ignore the older cities.

Character generation and customization in ESO is better than what we got in Fallout 4  That surprised me considerably. Anything ZOS can do to build upon that is icing on the cake, imho.

Yeah I agree, I think I've also only seen two cases of invisible walls in ESO. Invisible walls are one of the most restrictive things in a game in terms of immersion and dampening the feeling of freedom. At least make it a logical reason why you cannot go "over there" :D

Is the character creation in ESO really better than FO4? :o I would be amazed if that's the case.

I love what they've done with most of the lore in the game. Some things like the whole Ebonheart Pact feel kinda handwaved but many of these quests are better than any other TES game, the voice acting is well done, and the books, goddang the books. They've fleshed out so many cultures in one game, it's ver commendable.

Positivity is definitely something we could use more of on these forums. It helps people realize what an unique and amazing game this is. Especially the combat system, the lack of cooldowns, and the large scale siege warfare PvP.

I definitely plan to be much more positive about this game in my future posts.
No ETA on that though. B)

As far as ESO goes, I am very thankful to be apart of this dynamic and lively community. I am thankful for my guild that has helped me immensely through the leveling process. I am thankful for the wonderful people that I have met while questing. I am thankful for the fun roleplays that I have participated in. I am thankful for getting a chance to explore Bosmeri lore deeper and to finally get a chance to peer into Valenwood. Thanks for the positivity thread.

    Cheers,

I've been playing this game more than any other in the past. I thought 500+ hours in Skyrim was a lot...

Been playing since early access and still so much things to do. At the moment I'm working on Tamriel Hero achievement with my main, still Orsinium quest line undone and next dlc around the corner.

THIS GAME IS AWESOME, fun and evolving, it has mostly good community. And anyone who disagrees is a complete sweetheart!

    Oh yeah.

Given the pre-release hype of the Fallout 4 character customization, I was expecting a lot more than they delivered. In the end, while the facial customization is pretty cool, customization in the game is pretty much limited to the head. For the body, you get a single triangle slider thingy so you can pick between obese, skinny nerd, and beefcake. It is pretty much the same thing as ESO has for Body Type on the body page, but that is ALL that there is. Nothing else about the body can be adjusted, including height.

ESO character generation currently stands above all of the other Bethesda published games I have played in terms of customization. It is the level of customization that Fallout 4 should have followed.
