Help: Using OpenGL as the Renderer on Windows 10

I am trying to see if I can get improved framerate with the OpenGL renderer over DX11. Everytime I start the game the screen goes black but the main login screen's music will play as well as the cursor will be shown on the screen. I've tried deleting the UserSettings.ini file and editing the "SET GraphicsDriver.7" to "OpenGL" from "D3D11" a few times now. Once in awhile if I let the screen go long enough I will get an Nvidia OpenGL Driver Crash window with Error Code 3 Subcode 7 or just Error Code 3. I've run a few other programs in OpenGL 3.0-4.4 rendering mode (FurMark 1.17) and they have not crashed on me. D3D11 and D3D9 work just not OpenGL...

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Would love to see the game in OpenGL since I've heard it looks a bit better and gives a framerate boost.

Nvidia Driver Version: 361.43
System Specs:
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Build 10586
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE
GPU: EVGA NVIDIA GTX 660 2GB GDDR5
RAM: 16 GB 1333MHz
PSU: 750W SLI-Ready

Update: Tried a clean install of Nvidia Driver's both OpenGL & Latest using DDU 1.5 and same error code, is there a file I could be missing client side (or a UserSetting value I need)? or is Windows 10 just not as OpenGL friendly anymore?

Tried with the new patch 2.2.9 and still getting a kernel error on latest Nvidia drivers. I have also tried their OpenGL drivers which have given the same error as well.

Anyone know the fix to this?

The current OpenGL backend for this is rather buggy on Windows. The same thing happens running Windows 7, and I presume others.. I also noticed incorrect texture UV clamping, and material mapping when I gave it a quick try. I was only using the generic windows d3d nvidia driver at the time though (see below for 'correct' driver).

I also think the current renderer is only using OpenGL 2.1. Apparently they're due an update to 4.1, which would be great. But, who knows when that'll be.

If you're going to use OpenGL, you'd be best off using this driver version: https://developer.nvidia.com/opengl-driver (scroll down to the end of the page)

Nvidia OpenGL drivers that are included in the general d3d windows packages are pretty unstable. But, I suspect these problems are game-related.
