The year ahead...I missed the part on Arenas?

    Don't get me wrong I think the big 500v500v500 i n cyrodil is really fun, but a HUGE problem about it right now is the non vet campaigns. I am only a level 39 so non vet is my ideal place to pvp, but what is the point when there are levels 15's who can absolutely demolish me!! And not because they are good and have good armor, its because of this stupid cp stuff!! Its the exact same as 1-80 gear in wow and completely diminishes a low level newbies first experience to PvP! I don't get why or how they let this happen but its just plain not smart! I understand twinking and having an alt account for low level PvP but you just can't be that absolutely overpowered!

    But where I am getting to is arenas and battlegrounds (and dueling). These 2 (3) are a perfect idea and would be really fun and addicting. I don't care what the battleground map or arena is, but it would be cool to see 4v4 arenas (maybe even 2v2) and 12v12 battleground ctf. This is something that would keep all players coming back and would create an extremely social environment to an already good social environment. But what I am getting to is this cp stuff, they have to fix this if they are going to add low level arenas and battlegrounds, or maybe even make arenas and battlegrounds end game max level only. Just my two cents, they need to fix cp bs and add 1v1 dueling.

    They did mention arena but around 4 v4 and 8 v 8 which is nice would love to have had 3 way arena.

    You can say whatever you want, even now it's dying. Adding a WoW clone function is only going to be the nails in the coffin. For crying out loud they can't even get Cyrodiil right (2 years now) and you people want them to add even more crap? Rofl...

    Ummm... No. I have to wait over an hour just to get into a campaign (in the day time). And you think little 4v4's (8 people total) is going to ruin 500v500v500 on a hour wait with over 100+ people in queue? If anything it will help distribute the overflow of people trying to get into cyrodil. And cyrodil works perfectly fine, the only problem is the cp system, which they should get rid of I'll agree with you on that one.

    I think you miss the point. The state of PvP is stale. It has no variety and doesn't support small scale, objective based pvp. IC is just a gankfest full of NB and zergs. Cyrodiil is great large scale pvp...when it's not a lagfest of unplayable crap.

    If you want to hold the PvP community, you have to add PvP content.

    The community was ecstatic about IC when they heard about how much of a gankfest it was going to be. A number of threads were created praising it for being innovative and taking PvP in a different direction from Cyrodiil Proper. Yet here we are months later and now the PvP community is venomous and claiming to hate IC. Ironic how you could go from 'IC is gonna be amazing because of XYZ features' to 'IC sucks because of XYZ features'. I wonder, could it be that this community just enjoys whining?

    As for the lag, theres no denial that its a lagfest. Not as if they arent working on it. Its not going to solve itself over night thats for sure. Maybe if the PvP community itself took responsibility for its own actions, saw that its behavior in Cyrodiil whether it be their own true faults or not, was detrimental to their own enjoyment of the game. And decided to split up more, run in smaller groups or maybe spread out across the already sparsely populated and less popular campaigns. Cyrodiil wouldnt be so unplayable. But no, again. The Community would rather run here and cry and whine about things that have been stated and criticized to no end than actually do something like change campaigns or cut back on running in zergs. God forbid the PvP community would have to change its tactics until ZOS could get the lag under control.

    Well, that's mostly because what we were told we were getting was a PvP-centric content update. What we got was a PvE content update where you could PvP if you wanted (but was often frowned upon because people were farming their precious TV stones.

    So much this. I was so excited for IC, and was so disappointed in it after it released due to it's focus on PVE and complete lack of PVP objectives, rewards, or incentives. Even the TV stones which were supposed to be incentive to fight other players actually did the opposite. It was more effective to avoid PVP than to participate in it when it comes to gathering TV stones.
