Block Casting Vs WB Spamming.

Something interesting happened to me today. I learned about Block Casting about a month or so, when I realize I can block while I can cast my spells. Since then, I've been using it pretty often lately. (Though this has been a extremely bad habbit, since it destroys my stamina.) But when I came across a Wrecking blow spammer, I had this instinct where I spam Swallow soul while I block. Needless to say I manage to beat the wrecking blow spammer because of block casting. I'm not going to say this is a viable counter for other wrecking blow spammers, because I haven't tested this enough yet. But I want to ask your opinion on it. Block casting haven't used since the stamina nerf for blocking as I recall. Regardless, do you think this Is the counter you need to stop the Wrecking blow spamming? Do you think that with enough stamina and reduce cost to blocking, you can burst them down before he can get another wb on you? I challenge you to go out there and use block casting on a wb spammer.

✭Depend on the build.The few magicka DKs you will find are usually permablocking whip casters. This is probably the best build to beat Uppercut spam, since you dont leave any opening (unlike dodge/movement/cloak/shields) for the Uppercut user to get you into his uppercut chain.
For builds that are not built to perma block well timed blocks can still counter the uppercut spam quite well, but they have to be careful about how much they actually block compared to soaking/dodging/etc. else they will eventually run out off stamina and die in the CC.Jo'Khaljor0 -

Why not ? Every one else forever complains about useless stuff like new skills or dyeing costumes (side note we do need weapon dyes. no argument there) so why not complain about something that actually needs fixed/removed ?1 -

Why do they need to be fixed/removed? The 0 regen makes it so if they decide to block cast they won't be doing it for long, no stamina = easy kill.

Timed block ? How you going to do that while they canceling their animation with heavy attack and hit you in the air with heavy attack ?
