Thread to help creation for new players

So I just read a post on how race change is coming to eso. To all those people raging saying that just click on a create character button, please listen for abit.

When someone just starts playing eso. They, from the character creation page have no clue as to what passives a race has. I for instance thought that a bosmer would have some bonuses to archery, imagine my disappointment when it was just a simple I can learn how to use bows faster. I was happy for a point of time cause I thought the stam regen was good. But now, at end game. I see a friend using drinks having the exact same regen as me and doing so much better cause he has 8% crit bonus cause he is a khajiit and because they added stam regen to khajiit passive I feel dismayed cause it kinda sucks that I chose my class without being fully informed.

What I propose is that let the passives of the class be known on the character creation page so people can make an informed decision so that they don't come back and ask for support to change class. And maybe one free race change? Haha I know I'm pushing my luck. But seriously though, race passives on creation page for sure.

I don't think it will help much. If you don't know the game, you won't be able to decide if 21% stamina recovery is better or worse than 8% weapon crit. And if you allready know that you want to have a min maxed character right from the start, you should check the forum and a skill calculator anyway.

Minmaxers will check racials on web beforehand. Casual players don't really care. They are only bothered by appearance.
And racials matter the least. Gear and skillset will do all work.

UNLESS, you could show me a build with heavy reliance on racials.

A health regen build you need Orc or Nord

Yes, maybe a casual player wants to convert? Think about it. It doesn't affect the hardcore players as much but for casuals hey will at least know what kind of build their race would allow them to play effectively

Well if it makes you feel any better, the Carnage passive is broken so that 8% crit is not working. It's not even planned on being fixed until the next dlc. I build my characters to the best of my ability. but I'm not a min-maxer. Imo passives are NOT worth building a character around as it's not the first time a passive has been broken for a race nor is it the first time one has been altered. I doubt it will be the last time either. Since they do change them as the game evolves, people who are willing to hand over real money for race changes to chase that last .1% of damage or regen or whatever, well I guess it helps pay for the game.
