Magicka DK Skill Bars

Maybe in this thread we can share our bars for inspiration to each other. Every Magicka DK knows its hard out there for us right now.

Specify whether youre using Destro/Resto/S&S/Dual Wield/etc. Here's my general purpose build that can be used anywhere in Tamriel with a skill swapped here or there situationally.

Destro
Inner Light
Deep Breath
Dragon Fire Scales
Destructve Reach
Force Pulse
Shooting Star

Resto
Inner Light
Healing Ward
Mutagen
Blessing of Restoration
Harness Magicka
Standard of Might

As a Breton, I use Inner Light to further abuse my racial passive. I use potions with Restore Magicka, Spell Damage, and Detection which compensates for not using Entropy or any kind of detection spells. I unlock Magicka Det in about 500k AP so I will probably slot that. I'm not sure what I'm missing. I don't miss Igneous Shields.

For a PvE dungeon, probably swap for two class DoT's on the Resto to ensure good damage rotation. For PvP you can slot your Fossilize or Talons for some control. Im not some master DK, these are just my opinions from playing this toon so much. He's just a lot of fun to play.

    My magicka Dunmer dk is as follows...

    Running 4 Pce Trinimacs,
    5 Pce Pariah,
    2/3 pce Torugs Pact

    I use destro and sword and board. I am currently Vr6 and this is only gear till i get to VR16.

    John, do you have trouble with healing? I dabbled with that combo because I liked the idea of a CQB bar and a ranged bar. Not enough heals for my tastes. Invasion into Talons and Power Lash with a Take Flight is so gnarly.

    I have a v16 nord magicka DK who can do a decent bit of damage in dungeons and group content, but is incredibly squishy (can't play her without healers around). I've had to sacrifice a lot of self-sustenance in order to make her even remotely viable for the more difficult vet dungeons.

    I'm running 3x Willpower, 5x Julianos, and 3-4x Torug's Pact for now (fingers crossed for a Molag Kena shoulder) with destruction staff and dual wield.

    My bars:

    Primary - Destro staff - Eruption, Burning Talons, Force Pulse, Molten Armaments, Inner Light, Shooting Star (U)

    I like to keep this as the ranged/AoE bar, letting me move around and dodge red circles yet still keep up the damage. I really like Eruption and Talons for mobs because my single target damage by Force Pulse isn't that high. My magicka regen is terrible, so I use Molten Armaments and heavy attacks to compensate.

    Secondary - Dual wield - Engulfing Flames, Burning Embers, Molten Whip, Coagulating Blood, Inner light, Standard of Might (U)

    I use this mainly with bosses and up-close damage. I rotate through Engulfing Flames, Embers and 7-8 whips to keep up the DoT, and I switch to Molten Armaments when I run out of magicka. Coagulating Blood is my emergency heal.

    I've toyed with quite a lot of different skills and occasionally swap out a skill or two depending on the situation, but I've found this setup to work reasonably well in almost any situation (still not the best though).

    I shun all those players who tell me I should just be a nord DK tank ...

    I'm using a survivalist build for my PvP DK: 6 heavy armor 1 light, 1h/shield x2 (5x reactive armor, 4x magnus), willpower jewelry with robust(originally to save budget, but i came to like the extra stamina).

    whip, talons, chain, wings, fossilize, meteor
    embers, breath, ingeous, coagulating, eruption, standard

    He can survive in 1v1 very well(usually ends in either a win or a stalemate). 2v1 is a problem, unless opponents are inexperienced i don't have much chance. The strength of the setup is large scale fights, where i can survive high incoming damage for a limited time, and pluck enemies 1 by 1 from the middle of their zerg, root them, and watch them being blown apart by fellow players. I can also survive enemy blob running over me(as long as they keep moving), and spam them with talons to throw the follow-the-crown routine out of balance. A 'pain in the ass' build, if you want :)

    Currently i can solo all content in Wrothgar except daily bosses....

    I honestly don't have any healing issues yet..

    I do daily boss fights with VR16 Characters and sustain well...

    I run 5 light julianos, 1m/h skoria and 3 willpower
    Pve bars are
    Destro: sea of flames, engulfing flames, elemental drain, burning embers, molten whip, standard of might
    Resto: sea of flames, volatile armor, structured entropy, deep breath, eruption, take flight

    Definitely want to replace skoria but i'm not sure what to use.

    In group PvE its pretty generic

    1) drain magic (i dont mind running it. relying on others for debuff can be a fail)

    U) agressive war horn/shooting star

    if i run out of spell damage pots i drop destructive reach and slot entropy ill pop it before a meteor if im running shootingstar

    in PvP i often swap things in and out depending what I'm facing and who i'm with

    This is for both. My build in the OP was roughly what I use for pve and pvp because I have the stats and the cp to get the job done in all the non-IC vet dungeons as well as pvp with that exact set up. But I added how newer mag dks can alter it situationally if they need to.
