Guild Halls in PVP

I like the idea of creating guild halls in PVP space, but with the ability to build serious defenses. Build walls and siege engines, hire NPC guards, buy (summon? capture?) monsters, dig motes, cast fixed defensive enchantments, lay traps, and more!

What additions can you think of?

I floated this idea on a recent player housing thread and it got a good response so I was curious to see how many more people are interested in it.

    All this exists in existing structures, and most of it is in place for the alliance bases. Except for creating buildings all the mechanisms are already in place, the players just don't have access to them. And creating buildings is coming in 2016 as player housing.

    Creating buildings, What!? so if a Richie (or Richina) Rich wanted to they can take every spot of land knowing that no one else can have a house? Didn't I hear of some other MMO that had an epic crash after something like this was implemented?

    ^this. Although I'd like it to be expanded, maybe allowing members of the guild that 'owns' it to add items to the castle (an actual guild trader, crafting areas, defences etc) that can be purchased using income from the resources around the castle.

    That's a workable approach too, because what's missing from keeps you take now is the ability to customize or add anything.

    Expand on keep claims. You claim a keep and you get upgradable options based on how long you hold it.

    It would be a nice addition, anything to liven up Cyrodiil (but also to reduce lag.... without ripping things out)

    Moats around keeps with a drawbridge or 2 would be awesome. Lava moats around Glademist keep would be super awesome . Maybe some landing pads for dragon leapers ;)

    Age of Conan was superior to ESO in this regard. They had both guild cities that had to be built by your guild and conferred various advantages AND they had keeps. There was a finite number of keeps and once they were all claimed by guilds the only way your guild could get one was to take it away from someone else during a siege. Sieges had to be scheduled and they ran on a timer once they started. If you prevailed, the keep was yours (and you'd need to repair it) until the next scheduled siege. So the keeps were not changing hands several times in the course of a day like they do here. Your guild owning a keep conferred some nice PvP advantages as well so guilds fought hard for their keeps. I would dearly love to see something like this implemented in ESO. Because it would actually make PvP meaningful, which it isn't at present.
