For those of you who haven't seen it, there are new updates planned for 2016, which i'm quite excited about. For those of you who haven't read about them yet, you can find them here...http://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/news/post/2016/01/12/eso--the-year-ahead

However, while i was reading, i came across this little bit of information...

......and will be working on much more in 2016, including a major change in how world zones treat player character levels.

I was kind of nervous when i read this, and was hoping someone could elaborate further...
I"m having quite a bit of fun in the game right now, and i'm kind of nervous of any big chances like this that could potentially ruin the game

I think it means how Orsinium works, scaling everyone to one level, will be the norm now. Nodes will be based on players crafting skill level

Edit: Also welcome to the forum, @Sabenfox ! We're usually onto news before it happens around here, so you'll find quite a few threads already deep in discussion with the upcoming changes and DLC

This is a good thing. Scaling should be across the board, regardless of the content or character level at hand, and the reason for this is this: let's say you're level 15. You just finished Glenumbra, and you're ready to head over to Stormhaven. But wait, you're needed in Wrothgar to help save Orsinium!

You go to Wrothgar, knock out all the quests, have a blast... and come back and head to Stormhaven! But now you're level 24, and... everything is underleveled to you. Grossly underleveled. Not just that, but you no longer get loot or XP from kills because there's too much of a level difference, and the enemies are too easy. It gets boring, and boring fast. There's zero reward for killing mobs except for the occasional scrap of leather, and the only XP you can get is from quests. It gets dull. This level disparity will only grow worse as time goes on and more DLC is introduced into the game.

The only way to move forward is to slog through it... or outright skip a ton of content. And both options kind of suck for a lot of people.

With making content scale across the board they can ensure nobody underleveled (or overleveled) for any one area. Gameplay can be fairly consistent, and difficulty can be tweaked a bit to better ensure everything is pretty much where it should be.

down with leveling! What will we do without the shiny carrot telling us we are better! Noobs every where will just walk into the same wall over and over again!

I"m all for leveling, and i feel like Preyfar did bring up some very good points, at the same time i've played Guild Wars 2, and i'd hate to see this game turn into another GW2 type system.

Sounds like level scaling for ESO.

To be honest it'd work well in this game, unlike in some MMO's. So I'll support it.

Ya some people really enjoy it, and i'm not sure how well it would work in ESO (I haven't played any DLC yet), but i know i found it super annoying in GW2 and that's why i stopped playing.

I'm glad i read this ahead of time before i invested any more money into the game. I'm really enjoying the game as it is now, so maybe i'll just finish all the original content and call it a day.
