It's a bug, only way for me to do it is it kill the crem guards before I portal uptop to kill crystals

Lol was always wondering what the DoT was up there ive never died from it so havent seen, this just doesnt make sense to me.

The dot goes away when you kill the crematorial guard. It will stack multiple times as long as you are in his frontal fire breath, and that dot will remain until he is canned.

The most effective way I've found to mitigate this damage is to "helicopter" around the daedroth. As soon as (or just before) he begins breathing fire, stand as close to him as you possibly can, and then run one direction around him until he stops breathing fire. If you do it correctly, you will remain just ahead of the fire breath as you spin around him, and will not take damage. If you do take damage still (or receive a dot) it will be far less likely to kill you.

Here is my kill priority for the final boss:

1. Take shield sigil at start of fight
2. Dps on boss until crem. guardian spawns, ignoring the healer/fire mage.
3. Burn the crem. guard immediately, using the helicopter method detailed above.
4. Dps on boss until he reaches 70%. At this point he will port to the center and begin making his way up top. At this time, kill the healer/mage.
5. Kite the clanfear to glowing portal stone, then kill him and take the portal up top.
Timing is very important at this point
6. Remain up top long enough to destroy two crystals. You will need to dodge 2 of his skull projectiles, then he will do the knockback, which should not hit you, because you should be staying behind the small wall he creates for this mechanic. You should see 2 skull projectiles, then a knockback, then 2 more skull projectiles, then a knockback.
7. After two crystals are destroyed, jump down below and grab both the healing sigil and the speed sigil. There will be a second daedroth, and at this time you should helicopter around him and kill him asap.
8. Upon the death of the second crem. guard, kite the clanfear to the glowing portal stone, kill him, then go up top and destroy the last crystal.
9. BURN PHASE Grab the power sigil and burn, burn, burn! Be sure to grab the golden ghosts during this phase still, as you will get another crem. guard before the boss dies. As soon as the crem. guard spawns, use the spectral explosion synergy and finish off the boss.

Hope this helps guys. It takes a lot of practice and many, many attempts and deaths to get it right. But this method has proven to work (to my knowledge) for both magicka NB and magicka DK. I presume it will work for others as well, or perhaps a variation of it to suit your playstyle.

It's definitely not a bug. It does deal a ton of damage, but there are ways to avoid it altogether. ZOS has stated that the damage of the crem. guards is on par with what they intended. They really aren't any more challenging or do more damage (I think?) than the ones in WGT, the key difference being solo vs. group.

Stamina dk imperial, i use igneous shield for 30% heal boost plus rally and vigor, stamina reg mundus, CP 16 pts in blessed and 26 quick recovery
