Good I don't want the bugs and huge imbalance spell crafting brings
Unpopular opinion but it's a want rather than a need and people have to let it go

i.e. Never going to happen.

My feeling is that the Spellcrafting System does not work well with the Class Skill system. There is a significant amount of overlap potential and it really does not fit into a class-based system that has free spells.

Spellcrafting is one of those things that should have been there from the start, or should be introduced in an Expansion that radically changes the game... not a "major update" DLC.
For that reason, I am very comfortable with any delay that they wish to impose on this content.

It gives you some freedom of design and do things like other classes but different. The iceshield for example was like the DK one but in ice. You would never get the same amount of choices like the classes has, but with this you have some freedom of desgin.
Now it is the way: you have for every department 2 or maybe 3 usefull skills. All the other are from the weapon skills or from the guilds.
Some core skills are just for Sorcs or Templers or so. I understand, that it is nice to have some classes in the game, and some of the functions should be just for them. But I don't like, that the Templer has the only Flashheal for small groups and the DK the only group shield for example. That is bad design. The spellcrafting is a nice idea to change that a bit. The skill schould not be the same as the others are, but some functionalities schould be accomplishable for all classes...

Spellcrafting would actually contribute to balance, because it would enable classes to overcome their current disadvantages with new spells. If it weren't for non-class skill lines like guild and weapon skills, class balance would be much, much worse.lordrichter wrote: »Aoife32001 wrote: »I think all of us knew Spellcrafting was doomed, and the "Year Ahead" announcement just confirms that. Most skills are already available for everyone regardless of their class. The limited action bar is precisely there so your character can learn as many skills as he wants, and is only restricted in combat, so it would fit in perfectly
Although I do agree that spellcrafting should have been there from the start.
"No Spell Crafting period" is not news . It was obvious for almost a year .

I have a vet 8 dark elf i would like to change to high helf, due tot he fact that i did not have the all race all alliance perk when i made him and i have 8 character slots in use, and do not want to delete any of them, because i have every class in both stamina and magika.. i think it is fun to switch around even though it is less productive.. however if it is going to be 6 months to a year before i can change him, i will delete him.. might as well i can re level him in that time for sure..
