[PC] Controller UI & Steam Controller

For the past few days I have been trying to get ESO working with the Steam Controller. I have been able to get almost everything working with the exception of quickslot menus (Ex. Consumables menu) & direction of dodge roll.
For Quick slot menus: I am able to use the selected item & open the radial menu however I am not able to change selection. The mouse input is not detected & no blue selected area appears at all. (See: http://imgur.com/J9NQYqo) What makes this even stranger is that outside of this menu the mouse keybind works without issue.
For Direction of dodge roll: I am able to move in all directions with no issue but when the dodge key (B) is pressed It will always dodge straight backwards even if I am moving in another direction.
This seems to me that this may be an issue with the fact that my binds are set to wsad for movement & mouse for camera as opposed to the controller sticks but it seems odd that I would be able to use them for movement / camera.

Any ideas or workarounds would be much appreciated.

✭✭More details about how this is working for you please. I just got a Steam Controller, but haven't set it up yet.
I saw this set-up tip on Reddit, looks interesting:So I tried the Steam controller out tonight with ESO PTS. I set the UI to console mode and did a bit of tinkering.
Most of my keys were the same as a controller. Instead of the right touch pad being a stick I made it a mouse and my god the precision was amazing. Not quite a mouse but 10 times better than a stick. I made the rear grips keyboard shortcuts to dodge and synergy which made combat a lot easier.
Steam keyboard was perfect for using chat as well. Could just bring up the keyboard no problem and chat away.
One cool thing was I set the left touch pad to be turn the right pad into a stick when ever it was touched which meant I could still use the emote and consumable wheels
