NB Werewolf Build

Ghostclaw66ub17_ESO
Hey guys, I just wanted to see your thoughts on my build. I seem to be a very squishy character to the point that every fight I go in to I get out just barely. I am focusing solely on PvE. I also took a look at Lefty Lucy's Primal Instincts build but I don't want to go Sword and Board/Two-hander with 5 Heavy 1 light and one medium.

My current build is as follows

Attributes: all points in to stam (Most DPS specs I have read seem to point that is the best way to go, however, because of my squishyness I was thinking of dividing that up between Stam and HP stam getting the priority of course)

I'm currently rocking Dual-Wield/Bow (I'm not opposed to switching DW for Two-hander, but my bow has got to stay.)

DW bar: 1.Surprise attack
2. Swallow Soul
3. Relentless Focus
4. Whirling Blades
5. Rapid strikes
6. Werewolf Ultimate.

Bow bar: 1.Venom Arrow
2. Scorched Earth
3. Swallow Soul
4. Relentless Focus
5. Bombard
6. Soul Tether Ultimate

My gear is 5 medium Hunding's Rage and two heave Nights Silence. I prefer Medium armor as opposed to heavy.

I also have all the WW stuff plus the passives for the skill line save for call of the pack.

I also have most of the passives for DW and Bow save for the ones that deal with striking off balance or stunned targets.

Refreshing shadows is pretty much the only NB passive I took all the others required either more abilities of that skill line slotted to be of any benefit or required an ability of that skill line to be activated.

I took all of the Imperial race passives for they seemed all useful.

I am not a PvP guy but everyone and their mother seems to say taking caltrops is an absolute must in every PvE and PvP build so I have been working on trying to get it but PvP is just not my thing.

Anywho, this is my current build. I would like to see your thought on it. I am not a build savant, but I do know what I like, sadly I also know that not all can be accommodated when trying to at least be of some use in battle.

I'd like to at least keep Bow and mostly leather armor if at all possible.

    Hi,

The 2 skills that i really see missing are Ambush and shadow cloak....

These are 2 essential skills that you don't seem to use,

Shadow gets you those seconds to drink a potion or dissapear from a fight,
Ambush stuns and is an awesome gap closer..

I would drop swallow soul on one bar and slot shadow,

Mark target is a great heal on killing the enemy,

    What level are you currently...j
I have multiple NB stam builds,
    DW/Bow
    Bow/2H,
    DW/2H,
    S&S/2H

If mobs are killing you you must be hating PVP....

My skills with DW and Bow are as follows:
    Bow
    Bombard
    Focused Aim/Poison injection
    Double Take/Evasion
    Mark Target,
    Relentless Focus
    U - Soul Tether

    Dual Wield
    Killers Blade
    Whirlwind,
    swallow soul,
    Ambush,
    Shadow Cloak
    U - Incapacitating Strike

My NB is currently Veteran Rank 2. Thank you for your input on the matter it is very helpful. I chose to forgo Shadow cloak because I figured I could just use a potion and keep going and have an extra attacking ability. However I do see the validity in its use along with perhaps a passive from that skill line.

Your Bow/DW abilities are awesome, I think I will try them out and see how it goes, though I will probably keep WW ultimate in the DW bar because I really want to make use of the skill line for Werewolves.

Once again thank you for the insight.

If there is any more people willing to contribute to helping me better my NB I would be very much appreciate it.

To be honest I was actually thinking of going Two-hander/Bow. It seems like a lot of fun.

You should probably get Swallow Soul off your bar because its a magic based damage ability. If just PvE, you dont need cloak either. You are trying to pull off a hybird build, and like many who have tried before, it just wont work. I also would avoid double slotting anything that isnt a toggle.

    PVE easy mode:

DW Bar - Surprise attack (main Damage, rapid strikes might be easier to manage in beginning), steal tornado, (main AoE), Relentless Focus (main Damage buff, you could also slot evil hunter here for extra crit and put RF on back bar ), Killers blade (execute), Flex Spot (ambush or perhaps a dot like rending slashes or rearming trap). Flawless Dawnbreaker (used for damage buff).

    Off Bar - Two options.

Bow - You will likely need to run pots, to get your damage buff. Venom Arrow (or PI, either way good ranged dot), Arrow barrage/scorched earth (good ranged AOE), Caltrops (best ranged AOE), Siphoning strkes (resource management), Evil hunter (good buff), Comet (good damage ultimate). You also might want to find room for Vigor if you have it.

2H - Straight buff bar and no need for pots. You lose range, but you really dont need for most PvE. Basically same as above, but lose the bow skills. Rally (damage buff and heal), flex spot. I like rapids hear for getting around, but you have some other options as well, vigor, shades, double take, etc.

Great insight Oreyn, however as I mentioned before I would like to make use of the Werewolf skill line. Thanks to you as well as Johngo I have a much better idea of what might work for me. Anyone is still welcomed to contribute, I will still be putting this data through trial an error.

Werewolf is great fun. I am no expert on it, but it doesnt really change anything with what I said. It essentially gives you a third skill bar when you transform. I would simply run your Werewolf ultimate on your back bar. You could also run soul harvest on your front bar to build ultimate faster. Standard move for PVE is to run flawless dawnbreaker as ultimate on your main bar for the damage buff, not to actually cast it, but soul harvest might be a solid option if you want to increase your time as a werewolf.

For what its worth, here are my 3 main bar setups:

    Solo PVE
-DW: Surprise attack, Ambush, Killers Blade, Steal Tornado, Relentless Focus, Flawless Dawnbreaker
-2H: Rally, Evil Hunter, Siphoning Strikes, Caltrops, Retreating maneuver, Veil of Blades.

Group PVE as DPS (here I dont need to heal, so I go straight damage. I also run a potion build when DPSing)
-DW: Surprise Attack, Rearming Trap, Killers Balde, Steel Tornado, Relentless Focus, Flawless Dawnbreaker
-Bow: Arrow Barrage, Poison Injection, Siphoning Strikes, Caltrops, Evil Hunter, Comet.

PVP (I'll slot a bow if defending keeps):
-DW: Surprise Attack, Ambush, Mass Hysteria, Dark Cloak, Steal tornado, Soul Harvest
-2H: Rally, Vigor, Retreating Manever, Shuffle, Flex (caltrops, evil hunter, Mark target), Soul Tether.

You can really slot WW as ultimate with any of these builds. I would run it on your back bar. Even the best WW spends most of their time in normal form so you need to learn to play it. Think of WW as a burst for bosses and such.

    3 important skills worth mentioning.

-Rally is an amazing skill from 2H line. It is the only 2H skill i actually use, as NBs have class skills that do everything else 2H has to offer. But if you are finding you need heals, this is your answer. It is also an out of combat damage buff, so no need to run potions for major brutality.

-Surprise Attack is you main spammable stamina DPS skill. It hits hard, debuffs your appointment, and gives you an armor buff (NB passive). If you are low on CP, you might find you sustain better with rapid strikes in the beginning, but SA is more damage. I wouldn't run both.

-Steal Tornado is the best AoE skill in game, and worth running DW just for this.

My Gear is 5 hundings, 2-3 night mothers, 3 Agility, and 1 Kena (PvE) or Bloodspawn (PVP). I put every enchant and attribute into stamina. My advice is always enchant everything with stam and use your attributes to find a comfortable health level. Its much cheaper to respec this way. Remember, the lower the health, the higher the stamina, which means more damage. You just need to find a balance. Most serious end-game DPS involves putting everything into Stamina. At lower levels, you will probably want something into health.

Once again, Thank you for an excellent post Oreyn. I will put this information to good use. :)

I want to build a ww and that looks like a great quide for me to go with. What would the best race be for that the 3 that I would be interested in playing would be one of the following Kajit, Dark Elf, Redguard if possible or is another race just way better?
For what its worth, here are my 3 main bar setups:
