Radiant magelight needs a boost

If i sacrifice a quickbar slot and 5% of my max magicka to counter invisibility, it better counter the damn invisibility.

At 0:08 in the following video, the NB simply disappears from my view, radiant magelight be damned. I have to pop a detection potion or he would be gone.

And on a related note, please up the radius on talons. I have used them three times up here while standing on top of him(on my screen), and it never hit. Thank you.

Yes, Radiant needs a buff or needs to stop taking up 2 spaces on our bars.

The NB was probably out of your detection radius when they cloaked. No matter how many times NBs insist radiant will reveal cloakers, its detection radius isn't very large and that will get further reduced by bosmer and khajits and anyone who wears medium armor. I forget if it works out to 6 or 8 meters, butthe NB in your video was further out than that. Radiant's main use is to mitigate stealth attacks. It isn't very good at actually finding hidden players.

AoE roots do not work against players who are dodge rolling (or perhaps blocking, it was like this at one point but ZoS said they were going to change that), so you are just wasting your mana. I know AoEs are supposed to hit players who are dodging or blocking, and these are the very people you actually want to root, but it's been like that forever.
Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

Looked like it worked to me when he was near you he was seen when far away he was gone it's not an anti Claok it's anti Stealth he couldn't stealth hit you that it's point it works as intended and describe by the tool tip.

You want to pop a cloak with Mage light at charging distance about how far he was when cloak worked.

You might want to check that tooltip again:

It's obvious the NB isn't using impenetrable otherwise his odds of eacape would have gone up. But, yeah, radiant magelight is a joke. if a non NB finds you in the tinnie wennie radius of radiant magelight, stun him/her, increase movement speed, cloak and live to fight another day. The only NB caught is a noob or greedy NB otherwise death is near a non issue.

Radiant Mage Light is not "consistent". It pulse's every 1 second. So technically if a Nightblade spammed cloak hard enough while running by, you would only see glimpse's of them.

I agree Radiant Mage Light should only require one bar.

Also, detection radius play's a role with this. If you use the "Sentry Set" you can increase RML's detection radius. I use this and never loose my opponent's anymore. When i use a detection potion it become's stupid how far i can detect enemy's. Just a quick tip :)

The only way to effectively reveal people with radiant magelight is to charge spam. As long as you get a charge off they will be popped even if they are invisible.

I agree with this thread. I would leave inner light alone since it is the PvE morph and I think PvE rotations benefit from not having to cast it, but radiant magelight is clearly the pvp morph. In PvP skill slots are vital, so we need the skill to only take up one slot. Just make it give +crit, +stealth detection, reduced stealth damage for 25 seconds.

Just change toggles to 10 min and use the same method that grim focus uses to change the skill to a deactivate skill and vice versa problem solved :)

I'm all for a change to Radiant Mage Light specifically. I personally think the skill should last at least 60 second's minimum. I already have so many buff's that are 15-30 second's long, i would much rather not have to cycle through almost 5 ability's just to buff up.
