What happened in haderus last night?

Well..

Honestly, to be honest, I don't know the answer to that question. However, I do know what did NOT happen in Haderus - Lag Free PvP

Ping was 500 minimum no matter where your character was. I hope this doesn't become a regular thing...What happened to haderus being the small scale campaign

Someone in AD decided that having guild members log their DC alts, let him kill them to frog leap past the then #1 by 5K AP, cheating said #1 of the Emp title, was a good idea. If that's what you mean.

DC was on a roll, went to bed and probably lost everything to pvdoor in the middle of the night.

I didn't experience much lag though.

That's pretty weird for a campaign that isn't Azuras, really. Even people in Trueflame were complaining about high ping, and that's really unusual.
I was on BwB. The lag wasn't bad, but the loading screens were like 2-3 minutes long.

My ping is always good in this game. I mean the action last night was nowhere near as smooth as it was in beta but it wasn't too bad for me.

I have to try to get in to Azuras in prime time to make a good comparison. I hear it's lag city.

People keep using this excuse, but if the pops of a campaign drop and you outnumber the opposing factions, it is time to stop pushing their keeps.

When I saw AD starting this, I moved to Azuras.

This happens on console aswell except they use it to rapidly increase their rank. There's players with alts past Colonel.

If you monitor EP chat you get a pretty good story of what happened.

1. Lag free PvP is happening earlier in the day.

2. Ball groups start coming into Haderus and are like "The lag in Azura is so bad. Those zergs. It is so much better here..."

3. Shortly after ball groups from Azura arrive in Haderus, ironically complaining of lag, the lag in Haderus starts up...

I play US EST, usually from about 11 PM - 1:30 AM or so.

This is not the only MMO I've seen this kind of thing, by far. But that doesn't mean I approve of it. It used to happen all the time on my old DAOC server - Midgard was populated by europeans and they'd go capping everything including relics like every single morning. You'd get home from work and it was "Well Midgard did it again. We have no keeps, no relics, no DF." All the damned time.

I think it even happened here after launch. I remember one campaign had an AD asian/australian population that was always capping during off hours and it pissed people off.

It's not against the rules or anything but people who play during off hours should find a server (or in this case a campaign) that suits their time. In DAOC's case there were servers for them to play on, they just didn't want to (they said so constantly). In ESO's case now there's four campaigns so not gonna happen.

And yes I noticed an EP minizerg on Haderus last night. They weren't overly successful though.

I can tell you exactly what happened. Meth and his group decided to visit Haderus to escape the lag in Azura's. And the Emp zerg from Trueflame now that they have killed the server were bored with no PVP left on their server and hopped onto Haderus. It was the most balanced campaign score wise until this happened.

Say what you want. There were a couple days where we had Khole, Divines, Haxus, Rage all on Haderus and it didn't lag. Last week or so it's been pop capped, and it's lagging. It's the sheer amount of people on the server.

The TF night cappers that killed TF and are now coming over to haderus because TF is empty, the other day they camped the scroll gate and were doing 25 v 2.

Zergs attract zergs, in the history of haderus this has happened a few times and the server dies and comes back to it's previous small group glory, just be patience as the mindless plebs take over and then move on.

You do realize that there is no oceanic server, right?
Your "off hour" is their prime time and they have just as much right to play this game as you do.

This is not your server. There is nothing special about you. The game doesn't stop when you sleep.

The servers are all slowly dieing to AD/DC. All the EP in game are moving to find a new home due to the ad/dc team up on EP this past month. They utterly destroyed TF, shortly after MANY ep guilds died including my own. All those now guildless players moved on to AZ as it was the closest thing to TF. AD/DC continued to team up on EP, EP being already weakened due to the immense amount of now guildless "pugs",(no coordination with them). AZ began a downward spiral as the EP from TF saw the same thing happening to AZ as happened to TF. Right now the EP "nomads" are moving on to haderus, where the AD/DC faction is following because they want a fight. I've been preaching this for about two months...its happening now. This games PvP needs a REVAMP, not a "update". The idea of cyrodil is not working out. Zerg on zerg is proving too difficult on the servers. The players are tired of getting zerg rolled. Even in IC you are seeing less and less players running solo. Seeing massive groups run through more and more from ALL factions. Lagging out IC!...its a bad situation, good luck to you all. I love this games combat, but am having less and less faith in the RvRvR aspect.

What you may think of off hours is maybe a little past prime time for those of us in the western part of NA. For many of us in the western parts of NA, we do have some prime time overlap with the Oceanics. NA does not mean just EST

Besides, where else are the Oceanics going to play at this time? NA provides a lower ping for them than the EU server does, so this is their server too!

Oh, i perfectly understand that your grasp on timezones is somewhat limited.
"North America" has 9 timezones just by itself.

There is no such thing as your own personal "off hours".

Asking ZOS to shut off their servers because you went to bed is beyond ridiculous.
Maybe you should stick to single player games.
