Friend has joined ESO, but can't add her, account not found comes up everytime we try to add.

she cannot add, whisper or mail anybody, and just gets account not found when trying too add friends. Other people get the same thing when trying to add her aswell as me.
Plus, i logged into her account on my computer and had none of her 2 characters on it, i had to make a new character which she cannot see on her computer.
We're both on the EU megaserver aswell. and tried logging in and out.

Wild guess: On her computer, she is logging into NA megaserver, instead of EU megaserver. That would explain the symptoms (account not found when whispering, you seeing no characters when logging into her EU account on your computer)

Thats what i thought but shes deffo on EU, shes made sure to check it says EU on the launcher

I'd say double check. If you can, come over to her comp and check it really is EU. If you can't come over physically, use teamviewer to take control of her desktop remotely and check that way. It is very easy to become confused as to what server you're connecting to, especially as a new player.

Checked, her launcher is definitely saying shes on the EU megaserver, yet all the issues seem to point to us being on different megaservers.

It certainly sounds like a different server thing. Then im also wondering if they fixed that special characters bug... Her name wouldnt have any non english characters in it, would it?

I thought about that, but it does not explain the fact when OP uses his own computer to log into friend's account he can't see the characters she made.

Next thing i would try is to switch her client to the NA server, try logging in, see if anything changes compared to when she was supposedly logging into EU - if not, she wasn't on EU before. Switch launcher back to EU log in, see if anything changes etc.

Just stumbling around in the dark really, but i have a feeling it has something to do with the launcher displaying wrong information.

The only other divide of servers is through platform choice - i.e. PC players are on different servers from those on the Xbox1 version, or the PS4 version. There are separate EU/NA servers for PC, Xbox1 and PS4 platforms. A friend of mine used to play on the PC and then got the Xbox1 version - even though he's still on an EU server he had to create new characters and is never visible to me despite him still using the same original ESO account.
