Bound Armor - looks tougher than it is

Please rework Bound Armor skin or make it invisible. It looks like heavy armor and does not fit my play style.

And the look does not match the benefits it brings... it is just a minor resolve (not even major).

Just a couple of glowing bracelets on the hands will do the job really.

Right now I'm forced to use costumes just to not see Bound Armor skin.

And I don't buy the Kai Schober's(Zenimax community director) argument mentioned in one of the podcast. He said that they are not planing to add an option to hide bound armor skin because it will misinform the players you are fighting against...well guess what..the costumes are disguising it already.

I really want to see my nice black medium armor on me and not this aluminium foil or whatever it is (it's not platinum for sure ...I'd double my armor if it were)

There are a couple ways to hide bound armor.

1) use Soul/Mind Shriven costume, this only makes your eyes glow but overrides the Bound Armor visuals.

2) one of the Wrothgar main quests has a mask as reward, if you equip this and hide helmet you also override the Bound Armor visuals.

3) complete vMA and equip the Xivkyn Baron polymorph.

I understand what you are saying, but if it makes you feel any better, Bound Armor gives bonus magicka or stamina (depending on morph).

Thanks @Septimus_Magna I'll consider these workarounds.

I use vosh rahk ceremonial mask to hide mine with helm turned off and gave myself a beast as hell look via crafting

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
For now I agree to hide my cool looking helmet just to not see that aluminium armor on me.

But I really hope they will rework Bound Armor visual concept. It clearly cries for a change ...
Otherwise there is always the option not to use this skill at all...which makes me sad.

I kind of like the look of the stamina morph. But it does hide the armor that I spent hours trying to pick out. Wish there was an option to turn it off or make it transparent.

Not sure the whole excuse of needing to know someone is wearing it makes sense. It's only a little bit of armor and attributes, maybe if it had other effects like returning damage or reflecting it would make sense.

I was very disappointed in how much armor it gives. It looks like heavy armor, but acts like paper mache and it takes up 2 slots.

It gives me 20k+ shield on my V8 sorc (in wrothgar) :'D to me it feels like the heaviest armor ever, op sorcs!
If you can't reach such shield then it's your fault but I agree that the skin sucks quite a bit and it's boring seeing many identical players going around.
It should feel more magical (with some effects like boundles storm but not that much, let us enjoy our armors please!)

End result of this request:
ZOS makes all costumes NOT hide Bound armor to be in line with their statement.

Seriously, you really have to be careful what you ask for around here.

You can also use Cadwell's helmet, and hide it via settings->gameplay to hide the armor.
