Stros M'Kai for me - a bit NNE of the pillar of the singing sun, maybe a small clay house or a house tent on the grassy hill SW of the ruins.

A hidden little cave up in the northern Skyrim or near the ashlands of Morrowind. I just want a nice cozy cave for my precious nasty vampire...

Somewhere near Vivec in the Ascadian Isles region.

Also Balmora always is my Home.

In ESO: Definitly Fells Run. For city flavour I choose Wayrest. Of all the medieval cities, it looks the most believable. But my real home in ESO is definitly Avanis House in Davons Watch. Back before Justice GF and I hung out there quite a lot. But then Avani evicted us for his blasted Family.

Skywatch, or maybe Silvenar or Arenthia, depending on the character.

I hope they don't make the system account-wide, or if they do, that they let us have more than one house. My characters wouldn't live all in the same place.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Skyrim province for me. lol yeah not too original.

But I personally like it up there.

I'm curious how they plan to implement this. I hope they actually have visible buildings and not some BS where you you wayshrine/gem/poof to your house.

Perhaps instanced in a similar manner to the way to GTAV housing. You enter the door, you see your house... Another player opens the same door, they see their house.

The biggest "clash" I can see is outdoor interactions. You wouldn't be able to display things outside of your house that are specific to you, and if you wanted to do some form of farm/garden it may have instancing problems. This could be solved by having a "backdoor" courtyard that is walled off and instanced to each player. So if you wanted to access your "garden" (Whatever) you would have to go out the backdoor of your instanced house, to a private, instanced back yard that is walled off etc. Same rules would apply to other players entering their own homes, they would see their own instance of the yard. Things only get funky when you want to invite another player to your house. Which again, take a lesson from GTA5, you give a quick simple menu of "go to your house, or ask to enter your friend's".

The main reason I want to see housing, is containers, displays, and personal crafting equipment.
The "Bank" container system is nothing short of complete and utter dogsh*t. (Been saying it since the days of BETA).

If they can't instance player housing correctly, AND with proper containers, it's a worthless effort and I hope they don't waste the time with it if they don't want to do it properly.

Firsthold for my Altmer, I love the layout and how populated the markets feel from all the npcs. It's my favorite city just to explore.

Sentinel for my redguard, I love the Alik'r zone the most out of any. They nailed redguard architecture.

Ideally Ald'Ruhn for my Dunmer, in the Ald'skar crabshell or a bonemold hut.(I wish it was in the game!) I'm not too keen on the dunmer architecture in eso vs morrowind, I wish they went closer to the source with it (though I do understand this isn't Vvardenfell and is 700+ years in the past)

I recall a quest in Auridon where an exiled Mage who loved to experiment with people's emotions. He had a nice tower in a secluded grove of some sort (beyond a small cave). Spruce it up a bit and I think it would be a fine home.
The graves in the surrounding environs are a bonus.
