Power Overload needs to be fixed...it does less damage than Energy Overload. But if you nerf that then you need to slightly buff Sorc base dmg to compensate, because Overload is mostly how a Sorcerer remains competitive in PvE.

^ This, this is the problem with nerf threads they are ALWAYS based on only one aspect of the game usually PvP. Everyone Zenimx included always forgets that there are 2 aspects in this game and if you nerf something it negatively affects both sides not just one! What may be OP in PvP may be essential to the class in PvE.

When IC came out and the dmg got reduced to 50% while shields got 50% nerf, BE got the cost increase, shield breaker came out...
Yea BE/streak got nerfed, but when ppl say "my shields got nerfed by 50%" I go crazy. What did you expect, dmg reduced by 50%, but shields stay at 100%, are you crazy?! But then again, what else can you expect from sorcs, their OPnes went so far, that they think they got nerfed even when ZOS nerfs something across the board.

First of all, most of content is so easy that everyone can heal it, sometimes I even do gold keys without a healer.
Imo sorcs should be on par with other mage classes, like nb and dk, with more sustainable dps (like dks), but getting absolute top dps with light attack spam is just silly.

I bet you're both console players otherwise you would remember how much sorcs grew in power from 1.5 to 1.6 along with the NBs.
The only classes that overall has been nerfed since beta are DKs and Templars, with DKs taking the biggest hit since they were insanely OP in the beginning.
The only class that has never had a time of domination in Cyrodiil are Templars.
DKs had 1.0 - 1.5
Sorcs had 1.6 - 1.7
NBs are currently now dominating since 1.8 with sorcs still being a very close second
This is the truth of it really, and you're both painting a skewered picture.

No, you obviously don't understand how shields work, or you would know that the 50% Battle Spirit nerf is a disaster for Sorcs. For several months since the horrible (and unnecessary) nerf to Surge heals, Hardened Ward has basically functioned as our de facto Health bar, because we had no way of reliably replenishing our real Health bar.
When the Battle Spirit nerf cut our Wards in half, it effectively cut our HEALTH in half! When a Spamblade starts wailing on you with 12K Wrecking Blows, a 10K Ward is a DEATH SENTENCE. No other class has had to deal with any nerfs nearly so destructive and debilitating as that.

Truth is, only highly bursty stam NBs can effectively (by that i mean, having a good shoot at killing equally skilled) kill sorcs, everyone else can only die or best case scenarion pull out a draw, and watch him streak away.

Are we ignoring the siphoning line or something pretty sure that heals? A sorc only heal is ward and unlike nb's we can't just go invisible until were fully healed, i know i have a v16 magicka nb and it is > than my sorc.
Every other class can deal with wb? Nb's hit 1 button and reset the fight, templars outheal everything, dk's are likely using wb if their magicka then talons + go behind them, nb's have far too much stun/cc and escape/mobility to be killed by wb.
12k wb tooltip is low, try a 14k+ one, 1 wb will take 7k,. the next one will be a 17% wb because it buff's itself, which will drop us so far.
Sorc are easy to kill, just people refuse to learn how and instead cry when spamming 1 button doesn't work.

Wow. Hard to believe how many people are fans of this stupid and ridiculous nerf culture ZoS has been celebrating. Do you guys really wanna see every class end up like the magicka DK nowadays?
I'd prefer they start buffing things up again. Even if it requires more work and is slightly harder to do. Still beter for the longterm health of the classes. But then again, I don't really trust ZoS to be competent enough.
sorc is like the top class to play or a nightblade
try being a templar lol, zos has ruined that class in pvp so badly.
