Do u need to do prerequisite quests for skill points?

For the quests that give skill points do u Need to do a chain to unlock the quests? Some of the ones I see I can never find in the areas

Some of them you do. This is why you should always follow the main storyline, and not just skip to teh ones that the wiki says has skill points

EP isn't completed, but you can look through there for AD/DC and it says what quest needs to be done first.

Yeah, they're not marked as "story" quests in any way. But for instance if you start in DC and clear all quests in Glenumbra, only one quest will send you to the next quest hub. This is the main quest. Normal quests never send you to a different spot. So for each faction clear the first city until you find the story quest, then follow it to the end of the last zone.

We have all the story quests listed at UESP. Most of the quests that reward a Skill Point are at the "end" of a short quest chain which wraps up the storyline of the particular area of the zone. There's only one Skill Point quest which isn't a story quest, and that's somewhere in Malabal Tor, I think.
