As a sorc, Inevitable or proxy?

Dual bar: Webs, frags, hardened, streak, curse
Resto : Mutagen, Harness, Mines, Healing ward, Power surge

Literally running mutagen to gain ap, though its quite helpful against those annoying shieldbreaker bow spammers.

Go proxy, in my experience it's way easier to time out a proxy. Either when you're rushing in/thru or when someone is rushing at you or using WB or something.

I was thinking that, but should i put it on my resto bar? The dmg drops by a lot there, but theres literally no room on my dual bar.

You're pretty solid with what you got, but maybe drop power surge, move streak or hardened ward over to the resto bar, and drop in Proxy see how that works out?

Like I said you're pretty solid without proxy, but surge was the only one I could see other than mutagen you could drop to try it out. (but I was assuming you knew that already)

Can't you just hold block to mitigate the damage on inevitable? I was hit with it last night and just held block and it did very very little damage (didnt even break my hardened ward) also it takes so long to cast on multiple enemies you'd be leaving yourself wide open.

You'll get used to the delay, if you're up against a smart player who will actually interrupt you, you'll have to switch to Curse and other tactics. Use Inevitable whenever you know you won't be bashed or if the other player doesn't have any interrupting spells.

That too, i suppose you go cc them just before it goes off, but still anyone spamming crushing shock, also close ranged people will just bash./

You can have it on your resto bar as long as you're on your dual wield bar when it goes off. The damage will be calculated by whatever bar you're on when it detonates.

A bit off topic but how is Webs? I've been using retraining prison for cc, but I've been seeing more sorc build suggesting webs

Well the dmg isn't too bad, it's a good skill to spam to proc frags, the snare is very useful for dodging wb's and jabs. Also i morphed mine to the synergy that does fear which is very useful when i'm with a friend or 2 and we find a blocking tank.

Inevitable for PVP and Proxy for PVE (if at all in PVE) for most Magicka Sorc builds

Basically you don't want to be right in the thick, rather at range when possible. There are some Sorc builds that favor closer engagements, but you seem to be focused more on the ranged version. In duels to get Inevitable off against someone who will interrupt you. Exploit the window of opportunity you create with CC's.

Personally though I like Structured Entropy over Power Surge for the Might of the Guild Empower plus 20% extra spellpower.

Hmm yeah knowing that the dmg comes from which weapon you have out at the time of the explosion makes me think maybe invetiable.

I like power surge because of the longer buff time and the fact i don't need a target, the crit heals are also useful vs shieldbreaker.

Also as i'm on console i don't have that high of a mage guild rank because i'm far too lazy to get the books again.

Are you 100% sure about this? Not calling you out or challenging you; simply I didn't know this and it makes me second guess a lot of my skill bar set-ups
