Mercenary Crafting Style Material

Im getting seriously frustrated with the dungeons and dailies. I have all but one of the motif chapters and i have yet to get a single piece of the style material. From what i thought i read was as you learned more of the chapters the better chance you would have of getting the style material off the last boss? Yet i still have 0 Laurel and its quite disheartening

With all pages learned veteran dungeons last boss drop laurels 100% and nonvets drop with 25% chance. With just one page learned the chances are 50% and 12,5% .

I am doing usually gold pledges, so that means veteran dungeons. One toon has all pages and really gets it every time. Some other toons have handful of pages learned and receive laurels and they get it very often. I don't have followed the droprates, but I have about 50 in bank and i have made several full sets, so total laurels got must be about hundred. I run pledges almost every day and i've done serious vWGT farming. With some furious finger counting, the drop rates have been , eh, good.

To summarize, if you have several pages learned and you run veteran mode of dungeons, you should usually get the laurel.

Are you completing Veteran dungeons? I have all the pages and get one every time I complete a Vet dungeon. I heard there is a chance on the normal ones and if that's accurate, it's probably a very low %.

Do vet dungeons. 100% drop if you have the motiff learned.

It's only 100% if you know all 14 chapters.

Not sure what platform you're on, but most chapters are below 5k gold on XB1 NA, currently. So, it would be easy to purchase most of the chapters, which would help increase your chances. So, that's also an option. Otherwise, run the Veteran Dungeons.

It's just RNG, unfortunately. When the Orsinium DLC first hit, I obtained zero laurels while knowing 5 chapters. At the same time, a few of my guildies only knowing one chapter were getting them every single dungeon run. Now that I know them all, as you said, "pouring out my ears" haha
