Invisibility allows the pursued to slip from the attacker's sight. Any targeted abilities will now miss, as it should. AOE abilities and DOTs applied prior to invisibility still affect the victim.
The exception is the the Shadow Cloak morph that removes up to 4 DOTs on activation, but this isn't the work of invisibility. Rather, it's a defensive element that the mage added to an invisibility spell which he/she named "Dark Cloak."
As this game employs an auto aim system, the immunity to targeted abilities granted by invisibility is a necessary trade off to simulate the change of velocity one would undergo after employing invisibility as a means to escape a projectile or melee strike.

Quit asking for nerfs. I don't actively play a nightblade but give it a rest. I have grown very tired of qq ing on the forums about nerfs. You could address the problem but you just don't want to run Mage light use flare or run detect pots. Heck even throw caltrops. Best bet is roll nightblade get piercing mark.... Done. Instead of adapting, cry on a forum. ZOS enough nerfing.

Is it not harder to hit something that is invisable?
Maybe that sentence wasn't too clear. Again, unless I missed something in a recent patch, AoE abilities (such as Meteor) still affect the invisible.NightRibon23444 wrote: »Visibility Of what ever perk should not stop them from taking damage. Well I'd see it as an "auto aim argument," but my velocity argument is the unseen bridge between the auto aim feature and cloak's immunity to targeted attacks.Since bolt escape doesn't make me immune to damage I see no reason why cloak should either.
Your velocity argument makes no sense since bolt, which is actually predicated on changing ones velocity to escape attacks, does not protect you from projectile or melee strikes at all.
Being invisible doesn't change your velocity somehow you just become invisible. It isn't meant to just let you evaporate from combat - if my opponent is invisible in front of me, if I hit the space they are still in, they are still hit.
1. If invisibility doesn't grant you single shot immunity... then what it is for? AoE's take you out from invisibility, so please: USE THEM.
2. Escaping is not the same as invisibility. When you Escape Bolt you still can be seen, and it is a means to escape. Dark Cloak grants invisibility but is a poor means to escape, if you know how to counter it. Then again, we come to the same point: EQUIP AoE's (at least one).
I play a NB, and Dark Cloak is not a "puss out" skill. The only useful ingredient, specially in PvP, are the morphs.

Be gone than. No reason to be here. No other character can escape a meteor. One can reflect it. That's it.

If I can see you to cast my meteor, no matter what you do it should hit. No if and or butts.

Invisibility is achieved by bending light around you or an object to perceive invisibility.
So.... is this yet another Cloak Nerf thread?
Just asking, cuz I'm about to lose faith in.... just about everything I guess...

And the rule of combat is to continually move, so being invisible while using Cloak does not mean you stand still, so there ya go..
I know that unless I am in a safe area, I am always on the move while using a invisible (potion) / Sneak / or Cloaked, so therefore I am un-hittable unless there is a AOE attack in my area.

Whether you move or not, the meteor follows you. There for you can't escape it.
