So the purpose of this thread was to display some guild fights, correct?
Mm seems like it's become a place to brag about fights that supposedly did or didn't happen. Place where both people call each other zergers and trash talk.
Nice..

Well the problem blabb is initially the conversation was about the video, where one person rebuked a section of the video for leaving out the larger totality of it all, which is a completely different point, then egos, crap talking and bad blood between people got in the way and it spiraled into what it is now.

Great video dan
Lol if wiping us once in a 20 minute span when we're fighting 3 to 1 odds is considered farming us then I've been doing it wrong all this time. Still no mention of that GvG challenge acceptance though.. all I saw was retorts that had nothing to do with the topic :?
I need whatever you're on to keep me in such a constant state of disillusion. Seems like by your multiple heated posts that I'm getting to you even more then I planned.. lead into a forum choke point just as hard as one in Cyrodiil lulz

So I'm stabbing at my Applebee's salad, kind of a dozy "swoosh" to my forking technique, every stab at wilted lettuce a sigh. I'm thinking about how the topics getting hashed out tonight are pretty much all less malevolent than they might currently appear, and I'm also wondering why I had to ask the waiter if I could get the house salad without the fried shrimp; are they gonna charge me $14.95 for it anyway?lol.. so much salt.
Nice video though. I personally like this fight against you guys that fengrush recorded
http://www.twitch.tv/fengrush/v/30349693
At 1:36:00 - 1:40:00ish
That one where it took you and 40 other AD stacked with emp over 15 minutes to coordinate with each other to take a keep from us. That was classic.
The embedded video thing here isn't showing the clip you're talking about, so I had to jump to 1:36:00 in all of them to find it (and then 3:15:00 or so for the Ash fight); didn't want to weigh in without watching the tapes. I'm a slave to the truth, Uncle K! It's the December 17 video if anyone else has this issue.
There are two key notions here that I think are off-base, considering both my own actions in that fight, and the substantial video evidence that was recorded by a neutral-ish (but endlessly complaining) third party: "40 other AD stacked", and "coordinated to take a keep from us".
I have no idea how many AD were there; I think we're on the same page that 99% of the time, number disputes are goofy as hell. We make jokes about that, yeah? There were more AD groups at Ash than DC groups, for sure. Dan had a Divines + TM mashup group, I had a Fantasia group with a few members of Relentless Order in the mix, and there was puggage. DD showed up later on and sieged down the wall from the mine. Blues had KH, some puggage, Fengrush crit rushing into new situations to complain about, and a small group of nightblades with roleplayer names. AD had the numbers there, no doubt, and that is not what I find umbrage with in this yuletide portrait of fantasy combat.
Instead: You think we were stacked?!?! Brotherrrr, I know you were paying more attention than that. There's one instance in that video where Dan's group and my group are hitting you at the same time (unless I missed another one while I fast-forwarded beyond some of that dude's "why can't I 1vX right now" tirades); that stack happened along the rock wall north of the mine, whereabouts one of my healers took an emergency afk a few minutes earlier and got iced, and meanwhile I have 5fps the whole push and crave death. The rest of the time, our groups are making an effort not to stack on each other, because that is a garbage way to play, and it is unsatisfying.
Our coordination was this: one group pushes / is pushed upon, and the other group cuts off the exit. Usually mine, because I do want to fall on the sword here and let you know that was my idea. But I'm not even talking, like, a proper flank here; not a two-pronged attack, anything like that. I'm running interference. My play was to figure out the most appealing fallback trajectory for K-Hole in a given skirmish, circle my group around, and make that route of escape unappealing.
Your guild's most unique advantage, in my eyes, is that you are always able to retreat to a more favorable position to regroup or get rezzes. I was grateful for a test run at mitigating that advantage, albeit under lopsided laboratory conditions. Plus, my guild was the greener of the organized AD groups at the Fort Ash War Crime Christmas Cuss-a-Long, and we got a lot better with our movement after that bizarre fight.
You were outnumbered, yeah, but I know you, and I'd wager that before it got really frustrating, you were digging how weird and intense the situation was. I don't think it's fair to act like we were stacking on you, like smushing all our guys on top of your guys and spamming impulse and yelling "THORNBLADE!!!". I mean, c'mon. It's a huge open field area, and your people could rez at the keep until the last couple minutes of the fight, when the one guild that actually loves to siege stuff showed up.
Which brings us to a rollicking climax at the second point: "coordinate to take a keep from us." I feel like you were definitely provoked here to fire back with some shade, and I'm not cool with that provocation at all, but you are nonetheless painting a picture of Dan's guys (and mine), like, incompetently attempting to siege a keep and slipping on banana peels and farting and such until we finally throw down a Mercenary Contract to take the wall down. That's not accurate either.
Because if the machination here was something like "yo man, let's coordinate to take this keep because taking keeps is so good man, I love 2 take keeps so much & I dream about trebs all day, except please help me take keep", wouldn't we stack 20 of them and burn that thing down? You'd hit us on the siege line, yeah, but we'd all be stacked there, right? The entirety of us? In a stack attack? The keep flags in the last 10 minutes of the video. At that point, Fengrush is definitely still gap closing into our mobile AD groups when Ash finally lights up. Some of us did some sieging, I am sure of that; it was clearly not a priority, though, or something that we kept getting rekt in the process of doing until one fateful Christmas stack.
We all spent 30 minutes running around in a weird, sprawling brawl, because this game is a giant playground laden with treacherous shards of glass in the sand, and we have to make our own fun. I mean, the fight even kind of had its own secret ruleset. That's pretty cool. I don't even remember what happened after the breach; the interesting part was the protracted team deathmatch outside, where we could all pretty much res up forever. AD reviving on the ground, you respawning at the keep. I don't see the fight as ending in a victory for anyone, or illustrating anybody's scrubbiness. The way I see it, you two should be making out with each other in gratitude for the chance to have such an absurd and memorable battle.
Take the keep? Mwhahahaha!!! Ask Josh he can tell you what I said before farming you guys at that keep. "Lets farm the *** out of K-Hole."
Definitely backing you up that taking the keep was neither the goal nor something that sounded remotely fun to either of us. I can't agree that it was a farm, though, because we were fighting top tier opponents that were playing extremely well; I picture a farm as an endless wave of pugs rushing into a tower, feeding a d-tick, y'know? They got kills, we got kills, back and forth forever. It was a really unique battle, something I'll remember for a long time, but it bums me out to see people paint it as either a blobfest (which I think it did eventually become, but only at the very end when the siege guild showed up), or a situation where anyone got rekt or embarrassed. It was just a weird, badass, chaotic, old school fight. One that could use a lot more kissing right about now
I'm pretty confused.. did you try and correct my grammar/spelling of disillusion and then completely fail because you didn't read the sentence properly?
And respond to what.. a picture of my own post.. again challenging anyone to a GvG of which you still have made no mention of accepting?
You don't seem to get that I'm only doing this because it makes you mad and it was hilarious to start with.. but it's a bit boring and pitiful now so, I'll just leave you to your doings.
One thing that does annoy me is how selectively you edited the fight which started at 6:00 in your video. You showed 40s of it, ending with your victory. That was actually a really good fight which lasted about 5 minutes in total with several near wipes on both sides. Lots of maneuvering on both sides, and much ground was covered. It also doesn't show, because of your perspective, the numbers on both sides nor the relative situation on the map. I was in the blue group (k-hole) and remember the fight well.
Nocturnus Oscuro the real MVP that fight

Dang, this went from 0 to Real Housewives of NJ in like 1 page.
Lol.. again, not irritated.. just another person who clearly is missing the point.
Since it's flying over everyone's head, I'm only *** talking to instigate rivalries and good fighting.. no reason to go and take things so personally. Trying to attack me for drug use is about as clever as attacking you for smoking pot.. who cares? It's written right into my guild name lol its not like I'm trying to hide anything.
Reality of it is, we're going to win some and lose some against you.. or any guild for that matter. But yourself and every other guild is too scared of being posted in a video or flamed out for losing a fight that no one wants to have GvG's or competitive fights by say capping group sizes or moving away to different zones.
Anyways, the greasy flame war is feeling a little old, see you on the field.

It is personal. You caused two of the Top guilds to break apart (Shortbus and Divines) and than acting all cocky and shitttt. I'm here to take my revenge, prove you wrong, and I made my intentions clear. Of course, groups always wipe each other back and forth in open world but I'm gonna make sure we wipe you guys more.
My advice is stay off the drugs and next time respect the people who respected you.
Like I said the GvG will happen and any former Divines members or current Divines members know that I aight scared of a challenge. Point is we have a lot to work on as a guild and I'm not stupid enough to fall for a GvG until I know we are ready.
THIS ISN"T EVEN OUR FINAL FORM!

Just to clear this up.
The only reason Divines temporarily "fell apart" was due to your own actions as a GM. Just because some Divines members ended up playing in K Hole doesn't mean any of us were "stolen" as you love to put it. People play with who they want to play with, in an environment where they are treated with respect and are not neglected. Some people just had enough and made the decision to remove themselves from a situation where they didn't appreciate the way they were mistreated. If you make someone feel a certain way (sad, uncomfortable, neglected, disrespected, disregarded), you don't get to decide they don't feel that way because you're too cowardly to face or deal with it.
I cannot speak for Short Bus, just some information given to me by previous SB members suggesting that Keiryan did not have anything to do with it "falling apart". However, I wasn't there so i have no right to comment further on the details concerning it.
A good leader takes responsibility for his own actions instead of falsely and ignorantly accusing someone with half facts and bias, jealous opinions. Divines looks strong and active to me with your new roster, so I wouldn't say it has "fallen apart".
P.S. I did not share that Fengrush steam clip because of the commentary included. Just simply sharing and putting in context what was one the most fun and challenging open field fights we have faced (that happened to be captured by someone else) in response to your hostile and aggressive response to Ishammael's comment.
We have never challenged you before this post to a GvG (it was one member of KH speaking to another member of Divines of the possibility, without KH authority's knowledge) and looked forward to fighting you, not out of antagonism and hatred, but the pursuit of healthy, fun pvp against a phat AD group. All this fighting was in response and defense of your constant attacks on us here and harassing us in game.
Happy Hunting and see you all on the battlefield.
