Buying and Selling qq thread

I want a [snip} grand exchange. I dont care about under cutters, I dont care about people who buyout an entire item then sell it for much higher and continue to buy out those who sell low price until we are forced into buying their wears. That is what made previous mmos fun. I want a grand exchange. An auction house.

It's a valid argument. I can't even imagine how ass-backwards trading on console is. On PC, I'm a member of 3 trade guilds, decent ones, and it's still a pain in the butt to buy and sell things. Plus, any adult knows the value of time, which running back and forth between a gajillion different vendors certainly doesn't indicate that the developers respect: my time. Even a global "search" would be welcome, so at least people know what kiosk on what corner of Tamriel to run to, just to find an item.

Any economy that isn't based upon convenience and fair trade isn't one that I want. Nor is it a new standard to be set. ESO ain't being the odd man out, they're just being odd. It's annoying and it needs to change. The only people who support the current economy are the kiosk moguls who are sitting on millions upon millions in gold. The average player or seller doesn't care for or need that level of wealth. And the gold seller argument is moot, since they're in every game, including ESO. In fact, I can guarantee that half of the people who buy my stacks of discounted mats (discounted from the absurd inflation prices set by the aforementioned moguls) are indeed gold sellers. So these people are in the game and manipulating the market anyway.

Not having a global trading post was the worst decision ZOS has made in the game. I've said it since beta and I'm saying it now.

I was a member of 4 trading guilds and had trouble selling things still. And each trade guild had about 400+ people in it. That was on PC, on xbox its extremely hard.

    HARK! WHO GOES THERE?

    Is it a Merchant?
    Is it a Guild Store?

    NO!

    IT'S THE AUCTION HORSE!

    2413sbl.jpg

Just getting this out there in the lighthearted spirit of the Auction Horse! But please take the time to check out the original post, the idea is pretty unique and could fill the needs and desires of both Auction House enthusiasts and those that do not want an Auction House due to lore constraints.

What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.

The simplest solution (a global auction house or search function) would be the best. This horse-business is nonsense, sorry.

I can understand and accept a gold sink, but I cannot understand or accept a time sink, or indeed any core function of the game such as trading being locked behind an artificial barrier such as guild membership. The present system needs to change, or at least be opened up to more sellers with buying also made easier through a 1990's engine search facility.

I basically stopped selling anything last couple of months. Getting valuable items is too much work and when you finally get them, ppl don't have enough gold to pay which would make that work worth it. Selling anything in ESO right now means you are losing value in my opinion.
