Started with the Nov 2013 beta. Started one of my v16s at 6 am on pre-release day. Have missed only maybe a handful of days since and usually that is only due to silly things like Thanksgiving or Christmas.
Not a beta player, but bought the game the day it was released. Took a break for about 5-6 months at some point, but returned because I missed the game.
Now I have been playing more or less regularly, and still love the game. Despite all it's faults and things that I think could be done better. Nothing in this life is perfect and I have never had the privilege to play a game without faults and bugs either. I guess the positive just outweigh the negative for me with ESO.
Things I'm really hoping they would add sooner rather than later are housing and the barber shop though.
I played the betas then didn't buy the game until February 2015, but a lot of my friends who started before me still play.
Me and my husband are seriously considering getting a second PC so we can play together. Only problem is it'd have to be a laptop because we don't have space for a second desktop and gaming laptops seem disproportionately expensive.

Still here since launch. Been through some disappointments and breaks but the game has improved a lot. Needs a lot more work still. Hope they get on their game because the way they work on this game it would seem like its their part time job. That being said I still do enjoy it.
PvP is (were?) more or less only about spamming AOEs and heals and zergfest galore.
Proper endgame PvE is non-existant.

But logged on today and actually had a great time in Cyrodiil. And only Cyrodiil, because there's nothing else to do in the entirety of the game. It was actually playable in big fights (hundreds of players), no severe lag or anything.
And then the DDOS attacks came and servers went down and I'm just glad (or well.. not glad, but you get the picture) to see a major issue that is not because of ZOS.
Still the good old "see only one-or-two attacks hit you but recap shows one bazillion attacks" though. But barely any actual lag in general in Cyrodiil that affected gameplay ('that') much, didn't even get one-shot/insta-killed once during my hours of play. This is a first in like half a year. This is what I got the most surprised by, because it utterly ruined the PvP earlier.
However, still no gear to get, no obstacles to overcome, no challenges to best.
But I guess.. there's been some improvements? I don't know if I dare tell myself that improvements have been made only to find myself starring apathetically into the screen as bugs and lag ruin the gameplay and I try and find a reason to play ESO that aren't affected by nostalgia.
Things are looking good, I think, and I think I actually might start playing some more in the weeks to come.
Just my two cents.

Been here since beta, preordered the game, and subscribed the whole way. Have characters on both NA and EU servers, play mostly EU.
But sadly I found the subject of this thread to be true (although I doubt people who left the game for good would even check ESO-forums to response here).
Most of the players I met at the start of the game have already left the game for very long time. IMO the best time for ESO was the Christmas of 2014, and then the decay started! Most of the people I knew left the game just after u6 hit live, and who stayed didn’t even make it through the summer! That’s why I consider u6 to be by far the worst what the ZOS came up with (also too many other reasons).
The good thing is, that ZOS has started to improve the game after almost 18 months of release. But each time I am doing the maelstrom arena, or I am in PvP I remember why these people left, and why I occasionally think about leaving.
It is frustrating, that we are still struggling with some bugs since beta (i.e. grouping or random unexplainable crashes), even new bugs get introduced with each update and patch. Not to mention the lag in cyro, and even outside sometimes. And the classes feel now to be way from balanced compared to when the game launched.
But I guess we put up with all the negatives with ESO just for the community’s sake, but I doubt the community will survive another year if things don’t improve. What ZOS promised for the next DLCs sounds promising, and makes me hope for the best, and that the game get back to its former glory…

Still here. Paid my sub every month since April 2014, ride my tiger with pride. Taken a few weeks off here and there, but I crave pvp if I don't play for a few days at a time. Not been able to play for a while due to being in the alps, can't wait to get home to my desktop
I log in once a week, maybe. My supposed "progressive raiding guild" was strong for a year. Then there was nothing left to progress....
Guild crumbled as progressive raiding was my only interest in leading. Now I am but a mere member to trade and some fairly active guilds. But hey... I have a 500 slot guild bank to use I guess......
Brunhilda Icehammer - Nord Dragonknight, 'Smith & Enchantress 'What is 'ranged? I need to hit something!!'
Laehl Direthorn - Bosmer Nightblade, Purveyor of fine Clothes, Bows and Staves
Reeza gra-Zuni - Orc Templar 'War Shaman' and Apothecary
Noemi Snowpaw - Kajiit Dragon Knight - I laugh... or I'd have to kill you.
Kitera Dreamon - Breton of The Dominion: Because those Daggers don't appreciate a great Mage.
Lysara Shadowcroft - Dunmer Bloodmage: This will only hurt a lot.
Still here and have been since January 2014's beta. Even if I am a tad less active at the moment (That'll change for a bit once the next DLC is released).
