If they did, I imagine some people would have complained about having religion forced on them, or how it breaks their immersion with ES lore...
It's a game, I don't need goodwill and blessings from Zenimax for a holiday that not everybody celebrates.
In fact, if they "celebrated Christmas", I expect something on Chinese New Year, which is a much bigger holiday for me.

Or maybe they care about those of us who have said, categorically, on several occasions that we don't want real-world holidays in our ESO experience thanks.
For me the lack of Christmas based rubbish in-game is a relief, not an annoyance.

At least a pop up saying Merry Christmas and new year !!! Is all I want the devs to put. No need for santa and Christmas tree.

Yeah, Halloween is not also celebrated everywhere but it didn't prevent ZOS from 'smuggling' it into the game.
I don't expect them to give us santas, reindeers etc., cause I understand other people's beliefs and I fully respect that. But what harm would happen to these people when they would get a nice event or free items not connected with the Christmas itself. It would be nothing but pleasure!
And please don't come up with this whole lore thing. Can't people really separate the game universe from the real life? ZOS is a game company, we are its players (customers) and as such we can expect some real-life pleasure as a Christmas gift but not necessarily referring directly to Christmas (regarding the fact that not everyone celebrates it).

They said before that they do not want lore breaking festivities in the game. Give them some time to implement the Tamriel versions and you will have more or less what you wanted.
https://youtu.be/_9vyZAVuJcQ I agree @ruben , the question is how much time should we "give" them before we expect these things? This is the 2nd holiday season within ESO... 3 years? 5? This is what Wildstar had... and that game is younger than ESO with a team that seems to be smaller than ZOS'.https://youtu.be/_9vyZAVuJcQ

Do you really need the devs to wish you happy holidays in game? I'm glad they kept Chirstmas nonsense out of the game. I celebrate Christmas in the real world with my family, I don't need to celebrate it in Tamriel too.
