Dueling ETA?

Hi sorry if this was already mentioned, but is there an ETA for dueling? Cyrodiil isn't enjoyable for me right now so I'm probably going to take a break until dueling is released.

I want the 3v3 arena. Of course some elitist teenagers are going to come up with the perfect 3-man group, screaming N-words while they trounce you, but it will be solid casual fun for the majority of people.

@Gidorick In the last ESO Live with Wheeler they confirmed dueling/arenas/battlegrounds of SOME kind is coming. I didn't pay a ton of attention, but they mentioned dueling (and being able to duel in the open world rather than in an instanced arena). It's worth a watch if you're interested.

They also mentioned some areas would not be open for dueling, aka safe zones or whatnot.

They gave no timeframe either, but I think they specified "Not Soon"™.

So why would they need "safe zones" if dueling is optional? Or perhaps they mean that you wouldn't be able to duel in a dungeon or similar location where NPCs are respawning around you.

I do HOPE they are smart enough to add a toggle in settings so you can turn duel invite OFF. I know in DCUO, it was annoying because everywhere you went people were constantly sending duel invites... I accidentally got into a duel once because I was using a portable workstation and someone sent a duel request at the same time I hit the OK button. Surprisingly I won the match after ranting the entire time; afterward immediately went in and turned the duel invite option OFF.

Interesting. I'm glad they're finally caving on this. I do hope they try to be creative with the mechanics and it's not just a "select > invite to duel" system.

Can't wait to start spamming noobs with duel requests and then gloat at their helplessness when I defeat them in one shot, or their cowardice when they decline.

I would assume this is exactly how it is going to be, otherwise how could players decline? If it weren't a "select > invite to duel", then it would be forced dueling versus optional.
