Not everyone is totally competent at this game. Considering it's a paid DLC, they have to try and find that balance where everyone can enjoy it. If they made it too hard I can assure you there'd be even more people complaining than it being too easy.
Because we had heaps of people complaining all over forums about how they cannot find groups/don't have time for that/dungeons are too hard so they want solo content in endgame that they made sure won't be too hard for anyone. Except vMSA and WB.
Personally, I find Wrothgar mobs to die quicker than lvl 20 ones that occasionally attack me in Deshaan which makes me sad but it is what it is. ...I can't even DoT them because they die before DoT works>.>
To be honest I'd love more new group content instead but I guess ZOS is trying to cater to everyone. Not sure how successful they are though.

I can only imagine you did Wrothgar being battle leveled, otherwise I just cannot imagine you're being honest with yourself. If you are anything higher than level 30 the ratio of resources from player to mobs is significantly better versus level 20 mobs than versus anything in Wrothgar.

I'm v16. And okay, I may have exaggerated a bit. Deshaan lvl 20 mobs get 1 shot, Wrothgar ones mostly require 2 or even 3 shots. This doesn't provide for fun gameplay still, and even the "tougher" ones like mammoths still die so fast there isn't even any point in having a DoT.
(I'm obviously not counting the WB and I have not yet done the public dungeons so just talking about open world/quest mobs)
I know there are people out there just learning to play the game and all and it's unfair to demand everything to be to my level and all, I know I know, but that still doesn't make the gameplay any more fun for me and most people like me:( I guess the problem is Wrothgar is kind of "endgame" right now since it's the only endgame we have yet it's made for everyone including lvl 10s so it can't really be made challenging for those of us that are up to the actual endgame. It's still rather sad.
To be honest, and I know absolute majority will not agree, I had a lot more fun with Upper Craglorn 3 manning it when it just came out, that was fun and challenging and had some very interesting mechanics. It's a real shame they made it so much not worth it in terms of xp and reward and it has absolutely 0 incentive to replay it.
Craglorn is dead because of ridiculous exp nerfs.infraction2008b16_ESO wrote: »Craglorn = Dead
So what about those who like to play in BIG Groups. What are they supposed to do in Wrothgar?
Please add GROUP Events and Dungeons in the Next DLC's or it won't be a challenge to get them done.

Frankly, I think cycling through the three types of play Group, PvP, and Single would be a wise choice on their part for quarterly updates.

Agree with cycling being a nice way to give content for all.. not that it will stop the outcries on the forum though. Each time content is released that isn't exactly what player A wants, we get posts like this.
Wrothgar's the only thing that saved this casual (V2) player from dropping TESO. I'm sure there are many like me. Most of the V16's I know that demolished IC/Craglorn are already gone on to new things like Fallout 4.
I've seen this a lot over the years. Powerlevelers burn through the content fast and leave. The casuals tend to stick around much longer and do the solo DLC type stuff and sometimes meddle in the group content.
If the game turns into another 24-7 gear/dungeon grind, I'll do something else as well. I don't think it will though. The vault tech guy is still standing outside my front door and I haven't left my house.
