DW Sorcerer and Valkyn Skoria set

What skills can a dual wielding sorcerer use to proc Valkyn Skoria? Does curse work? I know it's a DOT, but it does zero damage on all but the last tick. Does this preclude curse from proccing the effect?

Thundering Presence is the wrong morph, even for stamina builds.

Its better to use your stam pool for your skills+dodge roll and spend your magicka on crit surge+boundless storm imo.

Even with all the dots that DKs have Valkyn Skoria is not worth it.

For stam sorc I would go with 2x Molag Kena or 1x Molag Kena and 1x Blood Spawn.

Just move on to Nerieneth or even better Molag Kena . I did

Skoria was nerfed to the ground , hits less , procs rarely and has cooldown.

Well, of course there are better sets, but I just got helmet and haven't had time to play with it yet, so my question still stands.

Even if curse did work, it would be a single tick dot... kinda... awful.

Are you sure it doesn't tick many times for zero damage, then once for damage?

I would be interested to know if lightening form and lightening splash can proc it. i assume DW but as a magicka class for spell damage?

Otherwise for stamina

its probably as above plus running meteor/twinslashes/flurry, with an Axe for bleed from passive. also Axes seem to be causing bleeds on my nightblade class skills. So maybe also try an axe + whirlwind in some trash. I haven't investigated it enough to be sure. Though stam DK would be a better candidate for this as he can do additional dots.

if you use a bow on your second bar, arrow spray, the mobs before jumping in or poison injection on single target to boost proc chance. I have no idea what the proc chance is mind, definitely try it yourself i saw one guy running skoria and he seemed to get a lot of procs. So worth checking

Just cast rune cage from dark magic on a mob to see if its dot or not.Dots doesnt break rune cage whilest any other damage does

Curse isn't a dot. Just deals damage after the 3 or 4 second timer runs out. Try liquid lightning or even maybe the destro staff move elemental ring. Fire staves add a dot to elemental ring. Also don't see why boundless storm wouldn't work. Does tick for damage when near enemies.

Thundering Presence (stam morph of Lightening Form)
Caltrops are great if you have them (alliance war skill)
Above suggestions for Bleed and Axes adding that a poison glyph on your axes will also apply a Dot, Flurry and morphs count as DoT last time I checked.
Liquid Lightning will proc it as well, not sure if it is worth it on a stam build DPS wise though.

With Caltrops down, Thundering Presence up, Flurry with poisoned axes for the bleed, you should have enough dots running to proc it often enough.
