I have had a few runs of trials with guilds, and was wandering why there isn't a group finder for the 12 man trials. It's been quite a chore getting 12 people with right classes on at same time ready to do them.
They said one of the reasons is that trials are not scaled (right now, at least).
Also, how would the group finder know what the "right classes" are in your opinion? There is no way to pre-select what class you want your tank/dps/healer to be now in the group finder.
I don't know. In regular dungeons I've used the group finder for, it usually puts me with healer, tank and 2 dps. I guess it would double tanks, healers and rest dps? Maybe. If it worked right.
Yeah, but you said "with the right classes". What if the group finder gets you 12 Templars? Is that ok? What about 12 sorcs?
Of course, the chances of that happening are rare. But the group finder goes by what role you want to play, and not what class you are. If you are expecting a DK tank and a Templar healer and not the other way around, the group finder won't help you.
But I agree that I would love to be able to queue for trials.
I don't know anything about a specific race or class someone is playing. But it lets you choose heal, tank or damage as to the role you want to play on regular dungeons. I thought it was balancing off of that. Though it might not be?. It has seemed like groups I've gotten or been pugged are somewhat balanced. I thought it would be cool if you could use group finder with trials. But the functionality does not seem to be there.
There are 12 man and 24 man grouping tools for imperial city and cyrodil. I waited a long time for the group finder to work on those, but it never found me a group.maybe no one is using them? Maybe they're broken? IDK
