Instead of our console name. ESO deserves better than this, and no chat box either, I am very dissapointed ZOS

    AFAIK showing the gamertags instead of the char names was a direct request from Sony and Microsoft (apparently due to profanity and harassment issues). But I would love to additionally see the char names under the tag.

    I would hate to see all the tags in the bank,and be unable to get to the banker for not seeing him through the mass. XD If I want to know who is who,I just put my mouse on them and it's above their heads already. :}

    I guess its not gonna happen then strange that its not an issue with any other console mmorpg or the chat box for that matter.

    You're right! This completely reks the argument. It is impossible to monitor and administer penalties for profanity / harassment to the current voice chat system.

    Yep.. I made the mistake of turning on voice while I was puttering around in Daggerfall on Friday night. There was a "shirtless fat Orc dance grind contest" going on at the fountain and voice chat was filled with rated R and even rated X content. Good thing my 8 year old boy was asleep. Lol

    Good points. I don't see why character names can't be shown instead of our Gamertags, because it's not like it can't be done -- our character names show up on the leaderboards so it makes no difference.

    If one was to 'Interact' with a player and view their profile, it would show their gamertag/psn anyway.
