I'm an Argonian Templar, should I just quit?

I've been reading a lot lately about how bad Templars and Argonians are and I'm wondering just how bad did I [snip] up and if there is a reason to keep playing this character.

Yes please...this one needs some new shiny boots

Joking aside, my Mrs needs a new handbag, and those scales look clean..

If you are a min-maxer, yes, make a new character. If not, play what you want and have fun. You can do all the games content on an Argonian Templar.

It's true that Argonian passives are lacking, but with a class that's so heavily focused on healing, it's really not so bad of a choice.
You can make any race/spec work in ESO.. true it means you might have to sacrifice a few things, but if you got the skill it'll be fine. No need to quit.
Alternatively, vet ranks are being removed soon, so as long as you have 160+ CPs, if you reroll and make it to level 50, you'll automatically be "max level".

I do remember this one time, there was a treasure chest on an island and I was racing this guy to it and I smoked him in the water. Thats really the only time I utilized the swim speed bonus.

Haha there you go, that's pretty awesome
Hopefully they will be going over the Argonian passives again, because they are pretty bad. You can't even make use of the fast swimming in Cyrodiil because the slaughterfish will eat you alive.

Add 75% reduced slaughterfish damage. Swim across rivers and let those that chase you die.

Hell yes. I'd probably roll an Argonian just to troll people.

The healing bonus isn't bad. It would help you in PvP though maybe not more than being a high elf would. The potion passive used to be really strong, but they nerfed it. It's a shame because it was a cool thing unique to Argonians and made them pretty powerful.

I'm an Argonian Nightblade. I feel your pain. :'(

You're doing the right thing expressing your frustrations. Let the developers know through in-game feedback and on here. The Argonian passives are really bad and need fixing. Since they removed soft caps and made the major/minor bonuses, the potion passive is just all that much worse. They need to rethink their conceptualization of Argonians within their current game meta.
