What do you think of this monster set? Is it viable for healing, tanking, DPS, or is it not viable for any role?

✭✭✭✭✭Not ViableUnfortunately, this set has been broken since IC dropped. It used to be the top DPS monster set in game, especially for DKs. It would proc every 8-10 seconds and hit like a truck. Now you are lucky to get it to proc once a minute. Not sure what they did, but IMO, it is not viable for anything. They also nerfed the damage (more than once i think).
Molag Kena is top single target DPS, but it come with the price of being difficult to sustain and can be difficult to keep up in your rotation if you are not practiced at LA weaving. They have to be really tight.
Nerienth is probably best for AoE fights. It can easily add 3-4k DPS on mob fights. It's also passive which is nice.
Engine Guardian gives best resource management.
Bloodspawn is a strong tank set and really nice as a once piece for stam regen.
I dont think the other sets are best in slot for anything. Not saying they arent viable, but you can probably do better.2 -

✭✭✭✭✭Not ViableAgreed. I have a nice gold set collecting dust, and got a V9 version the other day that I just had to laugh and decon. I certainly would not advise actively farming it unless you want it for RP reasons or something. The sweet irony is that I think I have 4 V16 helms with good traits now on probably 8-10 runs of COA, just when its the daily. Can I get a new engine guardian or a Kena helm with a decent trait despite a pretty serious farming effort? Nope. Oh RNG....0 -

It took me 31 runs to get my first, and only, Skoria helm. I am now well in excess of 100 runs and have never had another helm drop. I invested a LOT of time into farming for the helm before IC, and as others have said, it is now not worth the bank space it takes up in storage. Shame
Luckily, V16 Nerianeth dropped with a good trait dropped early for me. Kena is still being a bit elusive but I am only 11 or so runs into vWGT so really can't complain yet.
And, as the others have said, Narianeth, EG, Bloodspawn, and Kena seem to be the go to helms. All else seems more novelty at the moment.PS4 NA Server
