I see leaderboards go into the 100s of thousands pretty quick and millions by end of campaign. So clearly there is a way to farm AP very efficiently.
But for me, 8k a day on a slow day and maybe 20k on a good day. Usually If you start winning too much the red tide comes in and that's the end of the day.1 -

Believe it. I got around 40k ap last night on my v3 sorc in maybe 3 hours of pvp. Did not repair one wall (yea i was one of those guys lol). Granted, there was more action than usual on the server last night.0 -

Almost every thread this found made was complaining about dk's
So make sure you level the right class before you even think about leveling pvp. Getting a new char to vr16 takes only a week , max 2 weeks.
It took me 6 months of pvp every day to get my first dk to tribune rank 2 and by then i was so fed up with ad i went to dc and had to start again, now two months later i only got 5 million ap, am major rank 2 and i pvp a lot....
As a dk i would suggest playing sorc, they seem a better longtime choice than nightblade, unless you want to spam steel tornado and bombard all day
I tried playing a nightblade on the pts, ( when ic was pre-release so a lot of people were there to pvp with) it was fun but i found out vigor does not heal as much as i thought ( so i dont make nerf vigor threads)
So instead of making complaints threads, create a few chars on pts, they are vr16 and have free best gear
Then when you know what suits you go and think about leveling alliance ranks
You could even ask some of your friends to go on pts with you and duel you , you can be dk and compare stuff
Interesting advice, but not really relevant to my Stamina DK tank. He could use some Vigor, especially with changes to Green Dragon's Blood. Right now, I use Igneous Shield in dangerous places plus Rally and then GDB in emergencies, so I do have some healing options, but I Vigor seems pretty popular so I assume it is effective.
I think I can get Vigor with maybe 5 to 10 more hours of PvP, but it has really been insanely slow. Perhaps instead of playing with guilds who try to have an impact in PvP, I need to find a group to grind. Sad, but this is insanely slow. I don't get my hopes up for Caltrops. Vigor sure requires a lot of horseriding. I actually wouldn't even mind all the horse riding if it wasn't delaying leveling.
I recently joined a guild that does PvP nightly. Hopefully, that will help me get over the hump, though they are more concerned with war strategy than AP farming.
I'm sure my healer would level quicker. But my healer doesn't need Vigor.
I am not opposed to making people work for skills, but why is unlocking Alliance War skills so much slower than every other skill line?0 -

I know it's hard for some to believe, but that is where the typical player who plays at least semi regularly in PvP is at. Time (hours per day), dedication, and a good group will all speed this up, but a 10k per day average is a more realistic base line having followed the score boards the past few months on the most active campaign.
The AP gains will be increased significantly for solo players/small groups the upcoming update.
That should speed up the process of unlocking alliance wars skills for most players.
I don't think so I suspect it will be a nerf if you are in a zerg given the history. @ZOS_BrianWheeler please don't tell me it is going to be a nerf.PS4 NA

Wizzo91✭✭✭✭✭I have 900k on azura's atm. iirc the camp has 12 days left - so it has been up for 18 give or take. I soloed 100% of the time (sometimes I end up on the sidelines of a zerg but mostly I try to avoid it).
On at least 5 days of the 18 I know that I was not online at all. On average I would say that I play 4 hours days - with some days at 8h and some only 1h (excluding the 5 offline days).
I would say AP comes in pretty easily, especially vs. EP zergs. They are mindless blobs and you can easily pick off targets up to 800ap each when running on the sidelines. As NB this is especially fun because they don't help each other and just watch their fellow zerglings die and rush away back into the middle of the zerg. They do not like small scale encounters it seems. Not as easy vs. AD though.

It's easier for certain classes than others and of course you have to know what you are doing. Best I ever did was vet 6 in 2 weeks (loved my DK). But that was before the xp potions. Stack the xp potion with rings of Mara and eso plus and you have a sizeable bonus.0 -
