    I'm new to the game, but aren't you able to put restrictions on which things guild members can and can't access? If so, there's really no such thing as stealing from the guild bank because you've given them access.

    No it is all or nothing...

    Well there's an ESO fail right there. Banks should have categories or pages with individual permissions for each rank of guild member. Did they not look at other MMOs at all before making this?

    they have this
    Guild=Brotherhood of Merchants
    Gamertag=Kirito UD

    Never understood why people put stuff in a community bank then get upset if people take it. I put stuff I couldn't care less about in the G bank and very I mean very rarely do I even look through a guild bank let alone take from them. If players are depositing into the G bank shouldn't they be allowed to withdraw from it? The only thing I see to make things perfectly fair in response to this thread is to allow limits on how many things can be withdrawn at once.

    To allow deposits and not allow someone to withdraw seems greedy of G masters.

    It's not stealing if the guild master gave you access to withdraw. That is called withdrawing, even if it is everything. Chalk it up as a learning experience in trust. Stop asking companies to do what the people themselves should already be doing.

    I don't think people are upset when someone takes a few stacks of insect parts from the bank. It's when someone joins and wipes all 500 items out. It forces guilds to either have strict rules or put themselves at risk. What we need is some sort of middle ground. I suggested something earlier, but another thing is limit how many items a person can take out. Make it 5 items or something.

    Not going to take the time to read thru all the replies; only read the first few. Seems the general consensus is that if you give someone access and they steal all 500 items out of your bank, it is the fault of the GM.

    Well, I agree; but I also strongly disagree.

    I run a guild. We are not a trader guild and try to only bring in active, cohesive members. I treat everyone like a grown-up and try to instill a team environment where everyone helps everyone and treats everyone equally. I want cohesion and camaraderie and telling the vast majority they are not trusted enough to use the bank is counter intuitive to this.

    So, on several occasions we have had (poop)heads come and help themselves to all 500 items in the bank only to then leave the guild. It happens, and it sucks when it happens, but we move on. I will not change my leadership style because of it.

    It would be nice if ZOS gave us tabbed access to the bank...something similar to how traders are set up. I would love to set up permissions to withdraw based upon item type in the bank (i.e. lowest ranks only have permission to withdraw basic consumables. Even more needed is the ability to assign a daily withdraw limit to banks (i.e. I can set it so that lowest ranks can withdraw no more than 10 items per day). This would help mitigate a lot of these problems.

    ................................

    To redirect.

    This is a problem that is grossly compounded by being able to be members of multiple guilds, and more so by being able to be in multiple alliances. I had one of the guys that robbed us write me afterwords saying his main was (other than EP) and that he created toons just to go into guilds representing (other than his main alliance) and rob their banks, as if to weaken other alliances or simply troll them on behalf of his faction. This is the type of environment ZOS has set by allowing multiple faction loyalty. I will not say that everyone loyal to multiple factions will behave this way, but the mechanics certainly set favorable conditions to those that are low-life enough to engage in such activities. Pretty bad call ZOS

    For those of you that feel it ok to rob a guilds bank or engage in such practices. Simply, if you lack such basic morals in game, you are likely a piece of (poop) and a dirt bag in real life. Karma will catch up with you. That is all~

    Nobody to blame but yourself.

    I think its funny these guilds that recruit anybody and everybody for numbers. Then complain when this happens.

    (1) Don't recruit random strangers into your guild.

    (2) Don't give full bank withdrawal rights to all members of the guild.

    (1) + (2) = problem solved.
