In ESO you have traits to research, for example Divines on Heavy Chest, Infused on Light Legs, etc. These are all unique and add up to 306 individual traits to research and the most important thing is that each subsequent trait on the same item takes longer to learn.
So, to go from zero traits to nine traits on one item, say, daggers, with all passives and ESO+ it will take 78 days to do so. That's a long damn time. You're looking at well into an entire year to get nine traits on everything.
Here's the rub, these traits are character specific, so if you have nine traits on one character on one item only he can craft items of that set. This means that overall it's more efficient to have all the non-consumable crafts (Blacksmithing, Woodworking and Clothing) on one specific character, especially as you only need one copy of each motif then. If you had one character for each you'd have to get three Glass motifs, for example, which would be prohibitively expensive.
If you want to split your crafts, go Blacksmithing/Clothing/Woodworking on one and Provisioning/Alchemy/Enchanting on another.
However I will add you really don't need to split it over several characters. My main Sorcerer is 50/50 in all crafts with all passives in all crafts and still has 20-ish SP left over with a full DPS build and every skill I could ever need. You just need to get all the skyshards and do all the core quests for around 300 total Skill Points.
Ultimately? It's up to you. However I believe the easiest way is to have all six on one character and be done with it..

Interesting, cause I was counting SP to get full crafting skills and they are around 24 each, by my calculations i might be able to get a full 3 crafts besides all the skills I want, but not more. I'm still v8 and just started cadwell's gold so maybe there is still a lot more skills points I'll discover later.
