The Lag In Cyrodiil

Is actually getting worse. I know it's terrible on PC, but I'm talking about console now. I thought it was just laggy over the weekend because more people were on and stuff, but no - it's absolutely terrible and unplayable.

I already know a many players who've quit this campaign and switched/stopped playing until it calms down but the question is, WILL this ever calm down?

Are there any plans to attempt to decrease this?

It's like playing a slideshow or something. If there was a way to see your FPS on console, I think it would be about 2 or 4 FPS constantly, in Cyrodiil. 2-5 sec delay on every action we do. I say we, because everyone I talk to is experiencing the exact same, too.

The lag in cyrodiil is a HUGE reason people are leaving this game. It has been getting worse too. I'm even lagging/losing frame rates running around empty pve areas. If no fix comes soon, I'll add myself to the list of people quitting this game.

I know what you mean... although I'm not going to quit, but damn.. it's so hard to even bare it or just accept it. :\

Lag issues and ZOS pushing PvP towards zerging, without being capable of providing decent servers to handle it, is the reason why i have left this game.

    NB enthusiastic:
    1. Woodhippie stamblade - DW hard-hitter / PvE
    2. Know-it-all elf Magblade - Healer / PvE & PvP
    3. Hate-them-all elf Magblade - Destrostaff AoE monster / PvE
    4. Cyrodiil-Refugee stamblade - Stamina Tank / PvE

    Go dominion or go home

Nightblade-Hipster. I played Nightblade before it was cool - from 1.5 onwards.

If there is a queue, I'm not going into that campaign. The lag is just way too bad now, and that bug that makes it to where you can't use any skills, completely destroys good pvp runs. I've pretty much devolved into a wanderer cause keep battles automatically kick me to my homescreen. Not sure why its way worse now than before, whatever was in that IC cocktail ESO drank in September completely screwed something up...

I feel like lag is better in Cyro than it was a year ago. Resolving these types of issues are challenging to resolve but they have made strides IMO.

I am at a loss as to why they have not created some resolution to "zerg busting" though. Proxy det skill was added with the intent to "bust zergs" yet it is more powerful as a zerg tool....

PvP fights are so much more fun when a zerg ball is not involved. Zerg balls are the most detrimental thing to PvP IMO. Take 20-30 vet players who stack on crown, spam AoE skills and crush everything around them while being protected by the numbers game - not very inspiring to new players.

IMO - fixing this would minimize two of the lamest things in PvP - lag and zergballs

On ps4 my lag was not bad this past weekend. Blue screening more than 1x/hour was bad tho. Seems to be worse in IC since the patch.

The game's central concept of "PvP in PvP areas and be safe in safe areas" needs to stay the way it is.

Been this way since it started, Some can PvP without many issues and some cant play at all, the lag is unbearable for some, i assume it has more to do with slow internet connections /computers etc. I don't bother anymore, as soon as i get close to the action the slide show starts which is quite disappointing but it is what it is i guess.

I bought a Nvidia Graphics card because I thought it was my PC and AMD drivers causing some of the issues.

Turns out I still get drops to 12-15FPS and spikes to 999+ ping. I pretty much quit Crodill. I play in IC sewers and have no fps or ping issues.

Some of the lag in cyro can definitely be system/video lag. But overall - yeah, response time from Server is too high during prime time. This is because zerg balls get 3 factions fighting at the same keep spamming AoEs.

I guess you're not playing on a campaign that has 2/3 locked factions, or on NA, if you're not getting this lag we're getting. It's disgusting.
