Where would you like to live?

I really like where this is going. Many good suggestions in this post. I like all of your all suggestions. But where do I really like to live? I really want to live in cyrodiil. Truly  Sleeping underneath the pretty sky. Seeing stars at night. Open world do many wonders and hear strange things. The pretty music of thunder. The rolling fog. The mountains. So pretty and erm deadly.

The snow so beautifuly white but cold as well. Wish I could make snow trebuchets or very huge snow keep. I can invite all enemys if need be. Only if they pay the toll of course (free food) I want to study the goblins. Tame the mammoths so I can be first one to ride. Hey I can dream  I try to make friends with the giants. I really love there cheese.

I am a traveling wonder. Well kinda. Even if I choose to do so my wereolf become free to roam. I have always like that one bridge that you are not allowed to pass. When you get killed if you gone to far. Even one time my alley took the scroll and walked past the titan and died with scroll.

I don't have to worry about guards (sort of) I can erm.... Borrow food and items. Unlike when out of cyrodiil you get in trouble. I like how to roam with everyone of my alliance to attack keep or outpost. I love it when I can make eveyone sundenly fly with my comet/meteor. I however will not like it when my meteor decides to come back and hunt me. (Reflective scales so awesome)

The sound of music is so lovely. The trees huge and mostly bare. The towns so lovely. But kinda dangerous. I can become a reporter freely in Cyrodiil. Even though I die alot. Part of the job. Plus many unfriendly neighbors to watch out for. Yes you. Cough... Even at times I feel like I being followed alot in Cyrodiil. Ah my friends is it not a wonderful thing to live in Cyrodiil. Why not come and join me. (Or destroy me) I try to make you have a pleasure good time. For you all to come back and live in Cyrodiil with me. Plus no taxes! Till then I will wait for you all to decide to join me as I play wonderfuly with this magical lute.

Though I still like the idea of being able to buy a small walk-in tent you can set up anywhere in the wilderness and pack up again when you're ready to move onto your next destination. I don't like staying in the same place too often, and having the ability to camp wherever I wanted to would be awesome.
The tent would come complete with a campfire you can use for cooking as well!

I really hope they give us this option @Alucardo . I posted a concept back in October 2014 for a rested bonus concept (http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/137394/expanded-rested-bonus-concept/p1). In that concept I suggested that ZOS allow us to rent a room in Inns (the fact that we can't do this is blatantly NON-TES), set out a bedroll (no camp, just a bedroll, set up a camp, or rest in our homes. Rest wouldn't be a requirement but those that do "rest' properly get a little bit of a boost.

    I still love the idea.
a house anywhere. But these are places I felt like home during playthroughs :)

Oh, neither do I @MarrazzMist . In my post suggesting a 3 phase release plan for housing (http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/145287/another-housing-suggestion-a-3-phase-release-plan/p1) I mention the possibility of in-city apartments, wilderness cottages, and instanced plots of land accessible though coves or passageways from the main map. I really don't think "place your home anywhere" would be right for ESO.
We don't know what Zenimax plans to do with this yet though. For all we know our houses could be put in an infinite space within Oblivion reserved just for the Vestiges, or we could live inside of Soul Gems lol

Yea @UltimaJoe777... hence the use of the conjunction IF in my OP. I used it twice and both times it was used in the context that IF can be used to talk about the result or effect of something that may happen or be true.

Others have discussed the possibility of us living on a "plane of oblivion"... I really hate that idea. It seems like a cop-out. I would be fine if that were an option for players but to have it be the ONLY form of housing? That would just be cheap.

The home of my Orc brother and sisters.

But i want it in a tall tower, with every crafting station and a personal dwarven automaton banker to hold my goods.

I hope that every DLC release will see Housing expanded, once Housing is released of course. We have had some discussions regarding what should or shouldn't be included in homes so we don't rob the cities of their usefulness. I personally 100% disagree that we should have bank access in our homes. I think banks are fine as they are. I do, however, have a suggestion for a summonable banker that I posted back on Feb 2nd. (http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/149698/summonable-beast-merchants-and-banker-concept/p1)

And Crafting Stations really are a must in personal spaces but I think they should make them a little different from regular crafting stations so there is a reason to still visit in-town crafting stations. My suggestions are here (http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/208786/player-home-personal-crafting-stations-concepts/p1)

LOL @AngryNord... I could see that being an option for those that achieve Emperorship. It would be awesome to give players more incentive to go after that.

Yeah, I am hoping that when they do housing, they might go for a bit of varietee and let us have more then one location per account. Individual home per character would by my best hope, though I'd settle for three account-wide locations (So I can have one per alliance at least...)

But still I'd hope they treat housing like horses in that regard, character-based and each individually customizable.
A house door in Davon's Watch, a cave door in the Stonefalls mountains, a mansion door in Mournhold, a tower door near Narsis, a shack door in Stormhold, a hut door in the Shadowfen swamps, a apartment door in Windhelm, cabin door in Eastmarch wilds, a longhouse door in Riften, a mine door near the throat of the world foothills... each close to a wayshrine, each leading to a different styled instanced apartments, some "harborage" furnished caves, some small one-room style, some "townhouse" with second floor, and each character being able to purchase their desired "home" location and furniture the "home" it gets them to their own taste...
With furniture options they can earn through achievements or unlock through the crown store - I'd hate if the game starts to keep track of every chair and such as individual object - learn the crafting style for basic furniture, earn special furniture through achievements or crown store, that's how I'd prefer it to be done...

Not so sure about oblivion pocket planes - those generally are the lands of "the enemy", and not "safe zones" where you can hang your armor and relax... making a home in any part of oblivion would likely get you lots of unwelcome visit from daedra while you were sleeping (unless you have meridias protection cause she still needs you to pop old Stonefire one in the eye...)

But among the furniture options should -definitely- be shrines to every worshuip-able power in tamriel!

    same for me

    Balmora inside of Vvardenfell, morrowind.
if i cant have that then perhaps a citadel within Red Mountain, in one of the ancient Dwemer crater citadels. :)

Well they did have a school for Battlemages in Oblivion (or rather between Mundus and Oblivion)

Granted, it did get taken over by ol' Dagon.... but that's besides the point :D

Actually, that's pretty much THE point.
I wouldn't want to come home after a hard day of questing and find my cozy bedroom having been overtaken by Mehunes Dagon or Molag Bal... would you?
So... just say NO to Oblivion homesteads! ;)

But generally I'd love to see at least two locations on every Tamriel map to buy a apartment at.
One higher class (pricey, bigger apartment, more spots to place furniture, nicer living, in the city near all the good stuff etc.), one lower class (cheap, small, perhaps dirty, roof may leak, out in the wilds with just a wayshrine nearby, whatever). Maybe a third in the faction capital (Nobility-class, multi-room apartment, very expensive but luxury... possibly even with a hireable butler/maid! Yes, that would include argonioans... )
Not so sure about Cyrodill, it IS a war zone after all... not really the place one can buy a apartment, which would in any case just be looted whenever the enemy comquers the map for a day...
