Low FPS and High Ping -- Again

Today we are having low FPS in the single digits and high pings in the 400+ range. The situation is bad enough we can't play and even lock picking is difficult. I know it's not our internet service because no other MMO has this trouble on either of our computers. Anyone else having such difficulty?

✭✭✭Oh hey there:D Probably has(had?) something to do with the free weekend. Servers are struggling and since this absolitely couldn't be foreseen ZOS had no way to prepare to something like this *nods* Should be better once it's over.1 -

✭✭Agree, this weekend unable to mount due to in battle, random dismounting, power point slide show FPS and lag spike have returned. Proverbial we I'm guessing, sounds more like your computer has a hardware or driver issue.
1. Check that your heatsinks aren't clogged causing the cpu to throttle from heat.
2. Make sure you don't have any malware caused by your fap folder
3. Run repair on the game
Some simple steps to start with, there can be any number of issues with your isp that can cause routing problems to 1 game only but your fps isnt tied to your ping so its more likely an issue with your pc.

NovaShadow✭✭✭✭✭Has been so bad for days now I have finally called it quits on pvp only to discover its just as bad in pve.
*** servers will stay *** it seems. I've been loyal since the start but its getting worse and I don't see it changing anytime soon. I finally cancelled my sub cause of the constant crashes due solely to high ping.

✭✭I found that anything that caused an XP increase would cause a freeze - from killing mobs to opening chests to simply finding a new place. As it was worst in my starter zone (I chose this weekend to start a new alt...), I imagine it was just a consequence of the freebie weekend - certainly Wrothgar didn't seem affected.
As the servers obviously couldn't take the strain, I imagine it's a good thing that the experience newbies will have had over the weekend will have been so bad there won't be any new paying customers...1 -
Thornen✭✭✭✭✭Well I started a new alt as well and honestly didn't notice a difference with ping or fps, sure cryodiil was still laggy but its always laggy at peak times.0

✭Ping has has been bad for weeks in PvP now. But the FPS drop issue is something I've never experienced personally.
Absolute lowest I've ever had was about 19 and that was in a HUGE 3-way zerg clashing in Alessia and that's normal - there were over 120 people there firing skills, using siege equipment and NPC guards in the mix, however my FPS is over 60 everywhere else and never dips much even during laggy sessions.
Might be something to do with certain hardware setups as there are thousands of setups out there - the game won't be optimised for them all, some will be worse off than others.Sometimes, I dream about...cheese...

Nothing wrong with my computer. It works perfectly on other MMOs. Worked perfectly on ESO until I posted here. It's back to normal now, and so is the weekend.0
