1. The Staff- for fighting - not just shooting spells.
2. The Katana- like the Blades have.
3. The Whip- Dragonknight already proves it can be done, just needs its own skill line.
4. Gauntlets- or some sort of fist weapon for bare-handed fighting potential.

    1. Something I'd definitely agree with.
    2. Not 100% sure, but I think you can craft stuff similar to katanas already. Correct me if I'm wrong. Would love to see them in-game if they're not already there.
    3. I wouldn't use a whip, but having it as an option would be interesting.
    4. Fist-fighting is something I missed greatly in skyrim. adding it to ESO would be cool. It'd need to either go on top of or replace the armor on your hands.

Katanas will be possible via a certain style of swords. Mauls are probably the closest thing you'll get to a long blunt stick lol (at this time) and as for hand to hand combat requested quite a few times already and wanted by many.

I can say now though that you can expect crossbows to not be made since a Fighter's Guild skill uses one, and that is honestly good enough.

Fighting staves, maybe - but they would just be one racial style in a whole "Polearm" skill line IMO... to also let us use stuff like pikes and halberds, naginata and tridents, glaives and poleaxes, spetums and monk's spades, etc. Half the anims could simply be copied from the "aedric spear" line...

Katana - if they make a second akaviri style, sure, why not? Certainly the place won't have that -one- style for all their works, look at how many the (reportedly smaller) continent we live on has already...

Whips are kinda ineffective as weapons, at least when your opponent is an armored warrior and not some cowed slave... but there are other "flexible" weapons. Flails and such. Chain whips even.

Gauntlets are already armor pieces... but there could be brass knuckles, punch daggers, cesti... etc. Would be worth a new "Brawling" skill line I say, one that does a mere half the damage of proper weapons (this isn't a superhero game after wll where people punch through steel plate) but instead has lots of wrestling-style CC options...

    Also:

Crossbows added to bow skill line (maybe rename it "Archery" or "Marksman" or something) Possibly slings as well?

Some alternate destruction/restoration magic option so we don't -all- have to jug staves around, perhaps some "spell focus" like holy symbols, ornate spellbooks, meditation crystals, gemmed skulls, shaman rattles, etc.

One-handed and ranged skill line, like the javeling throwers in orsinium, with options for offhand - javelin, throwing dagger, shuriken, hand crossbow...

One-handed and magic skill line, with elementally charged melee strikes and magical AoE and mid-range attacks?

Mounted Combat skill line, with lances and horse archery, hit and run attacks and cavalry charges?
