With ESO Housing on the way (at some point) I've been wondering where I would like to live if ZOS introduced homes/rooms/apartments to rent/live in in every town and city.
Personally... I'd love to live in Fell's Run in Rivenspire. There's something tranquil and quaint about that little town. it feel like "Home"

But seriously in terms of livability I think I'd go with somewhere in Auridon. I'd love to get my AD character a little place in Vulkhel Guard if that ever becomes a housing option.

I've always been a Nord at heart. Even back to Elder Scroll 4 Oblivion. I fell in love with my house in Windhelm in Elder Scrolls Skyrim. I hope it let's you have that "secret" room behind the bookshelf for enchanting and alchemy. I really loved that location.1

Though I still like the idea of being able to buy a small walk-in tent you can set up anywhere in the wilderness and pack up again when you're ready to move onto your next destination. I don't like staying in the same place too often, and having the ability to camp wherever I wanted to would be awesome.
The tent would come complete with a campfire you can use for cooking as well!2 -

But in the game, either Grahtwood for AD (love their tree houses), or Stonefalls/Deshaan for EP.
And for DC, maybe Rivenspire..

MarrazzMist✭✭✭✭Good topic! Perfect place for my dual wielding dragonknight would be Fisherman's Isle in Grathwood. I like the shadowy forest of the zone, and I love to return to lightness of the beach. Fishermans Isle has grafting stations for my grafter main, and city's not far.
My magiga nightblade would fit having a room Shad Astula school of mages. Though Deshaan is my least favourite zone, that was the plase I felt was right to her.
That said I do not want players to be able place a house anywhere. But these are places I felt like home during playthroughs
