New Classes you would like added to game

I like the idea of new skill lines

    For example:
Brawler - weapon skill line that allows you to equip brass knuckles or the equivilant.
Bard - Guild or world skill line that gives you minor healing, buffing and debuffing abilities such as fear(or removing fear)
Beastmaster(world) - the ability to have a permanent pet(a toggle) and then different abilities for the pet, passives allowing you to tame animals in the wild/do more damage to animals/magical beasts.

    PC/NA: Primarily Daggerfall Covenant.

Lennie: Breton Sorceror. 9-trait crafter on everything, purveyor of useless frippery.

I'd rather have more skill lines, such as Necromancer. I'm not against more classes, as I couldn't care less about class balance, as it has never affected me. But I feel the four archetypes are covered in the classes we have now more or less.

But if it had to be a class, again I'd like a Necromancer.

For sure more elemental class/spells (water, wind, earth, water)
Pet master(one pet based on your race and alliance, visual difference only, buffs for you,pet etc)
    Necromancer
    True Juggernaut(slow, tough)
Those are only dreams and even if they will come true, there will be some serious balance problems. Some of the companies/teams can't even balance pointed sticks(praise the sun)

ZOS needs to work on new classes, as well as, add new skills to the existing ones. Otherwise, where's the longevity in options, theory crafting and progression. Gameplay's going to get pretty stale in another year if they dont.

This is far too revolutionary of an idea! It must be quelled!

Just kidding, AC was set up like this and it is the best MMO of all time

Yes AC was setup like that, and no it was not !

I must say I am against adding new classes as well because they need to balance existing ones first. Which doesn't seem anywhere close to done.

It would also be extremely unfair to the older players, but that part has never stopped ZOS before.

New skill lines to alter existing classes? I'm not sure, it might be interesting I suppose, they'd have to be really careful about balancing...or well, at least not completely breaking the game with them though.

id like an assassin class that can cast invisibility and uses pure staminna only and is allways in stealth.
able to move incredibly fast and is very hard to kill.
    dark brotherhood type style.

i posted this in another thread, but it's just as relevant here.

With the dark brotherhood/thieves guild expansions (ive only heard rumors, not sure if this is actually a thing) they should add the race specific skill trees.

    Shadowscales - Argonians

    Morag tong - Dunmer

Something to do with Rajhin - Khajiit

    Right of theft - Bosmer

    Espionage (their charm) - Imperial

    Espionage - Breton

    Alik'r assassin/mercenary - Redguard

I'm sure there is SOME lore for the ones i'm missing (Orc, High elf, Nord)

A frost skill line is well over due imo. Tie it to a new class maybe, or maybe not..

Nords should get a bonus to frost dmg.

What I have seen so far, including reading the forums and various "build howto's" is that despite what the whole class system in ESO seems to imply it still funnels people into certain roles, sure if you only want to do pve or solo, or die in pvp a lot you can build a class you want however to be effective and to actually earn money while you get through lvl's 1-50 and then vr1+ you need to have a specialised build which still ends up as some kind of stereotype, sure there seems to be more options than other mmo's(read wow and the like) but you still can't be an effective mage with heavy armour or some kind of class like that.

Also like people have said many would like to play necromancers, I would for example, or a bard or quite a few other examples of classes present before in elder scrolls games.

And as others have said it doesn't have to be another class, just add more skill lines to the classes already existing, I for one think that a necromancer line for a sorc would work quite well.

They did acknowledge my question about gaining access to new skill lines with new DLC on Live last week, I hope they take that seriously and add it into future content.

    Adventurer
With an open access to all the different skills across the board.
I know, you're all gonna flame the tar outta me but it would be great to play as in Morrowind. You picked any skills, which you wanted to be your premier skills, then your lesser ones, etc.Your main might be a bow,or an axe,and it reflected that..It was called "Adventurer".Plus, you could even change the name of your class.
In this game, you dont get many skills to play.

Not a class but I would really like to see a Beast master skill tree (World) that allows you to tame pets, name them and have them fight for you . Also I want weapon ultimates.

But for a new class: something similar to druid from WoW with shapeshifts that changes how you play with each form (like how WW works but permanent until you toggle it off)

Im also fan of Bards, but I think it should be NPC-guild. If they ever add Tamriel's Holidays to the game, that would be the place to level up your Entertainer skill tree. Also I think they should do some group-emotes, like for example, two person could do emote together, like dancing etc.

Couldn't care less. Just give me invisibility and I'll be happy. All es games have had it as a spell to date except this.
    PC Master Race

    1001CP
    8 Flawless Toons, all Classes.
    Master Angler
    Dro-M'artha Destroyer (at last)
    Tamriel Hero
    Grand Overlord

Got pots but they run out and gets annoying. Have to craft enough as it is. Even an invisibility staff would make me happy. Like can't attack with it equipped but always invisible.

Always invisible is kinda (and should stay) a magicka nb domain only, even so I still suffer from rsi hitting cloak every 3 seconds.

I don't necessarily think they should add more classes, but an ability for existing classes to sort of branch out into abilities in the vein of the oldschool ES classes. In those games you had Combat, magic, and stealth specializations. Say perhaps a NB could branch out into being an Agent, Acrobat, or Scout, and Temps can go into being Pilgrims, Monks, or Bards. DK's can become Barbarians, Crusaders, or Rogues, and sorcs can go into being Conjurers, Spellswords, or Battlemages.

Instaed of having skills, add passives such as 'increase effectiveness of x spell types by 3/5%' or 'when you use a y spell, gain z of a resource'. Naturally it'd open up a can of worms to balance, but stagnation is the bane of any MMO.

sure there seems to be more options than other mmo's(read wow and the like)

Not so sure about 'more options than WoW' which has 12 classes with 3-4 specs each and at this point each spec is basically a separate class with its own distinct skill set, playstyle and quite often role. This will be even more so in Legion.

Hey @theher0not , check out my thread about battle pets... its similar to what you are wanting but everyone can do it. (http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/231976/immersive-battle-pets-concept/p1)

How about if they add new sets for those all? I believe that was the idea at least at one point, although those debates goes all way back to PC-launch, maybe its buried idea. The fact is we never gonna have sub-classes, we are lucky if we get one new class per Expansion, and thats like every 2-3 year, so why not to integrate them into gears. Barbarian Sets would have something to do with two-hander skill line for example.

The veteran posters here know what is coming now... ;)

New classes would be vexing for the older players which have already filled their alt quota, and spend the last year levelling them... so I can't really consider it a good idea (unless they also add a class change option, which would be another can of worms...)

Just add a couple more toon slots, make it 10 or 12 charcters per account, that would solve the issue of full alts.
