Templar's Solar Barrage (Empowerment Effect)

Hello all,

I've asked around about this in game, and can't seem to find an answer, I'd use the search function too, but I'm afraid it'd probably be a bit out of date, since I haven't touched ESO in about more than half a year give-or-take.

So my question is; Does the Solar Barrage Empowerment 20% bonus effect every single next attack I do regardless of which skill/magic I use? I've been testing this out myself, and can't quite seem to figure it out.

On one hand, my health bar will glow, indicating that I have the empowerment on, and when I use the first skill from the Dual Dagger skill line, the empowerment effect seems to turn off, and or be used, indicated by the glow vanishing. Now, when I'm going with Solar Barrage > Whirling Blade (from the Dual Dagger skill line), the light that indicated the empowerment is still there. Does this mean it has no effect whatsoever? Or is this simply a bug, due the my Healthbars being "Modded" by Wykkyd's Frameworks?

Further testing this out, I've been trying Solar Barrage > Rapid Stirkes. I've tried normally using Rapid Strikes, to compare the damage dealt, in comparison to using Solar Barrage before hand, and it does (at least to me), look like I do indeed do more damage with the Solar Barrage being used before hand, however the Light around the Health Bar still not not disappear.

So, In short as previously asked; Does the empowerment effect work with all abilities/skills?

Yes, it affects everything. But the first ability of dual wield is a channel and channeled abilities will only get their first initial hit buffed, not the entire skill.

This is why your research is unfortunate. Don't use it with channeled abilities, only use it with single hit abilities.

It is actually questinable if it does increase any attack.

Because for example the morph of the DK chains that grants you 'empower for the next attack' only applies to Stmina abilities. Or was it Magicka? Well It was definitely only one of those.

Wrong, it doesn't use it on channeled abilities at all .

Use empower then use biting jabs. You'll still have the empower buff active.

OP anything that's a dot or channel doesn't get empowered, so anything that works over time, unless it has an initial hit.

For instance it works with dawnbreaker and meteor, but it won't work on abilities like biting jabs or flurry etc.

For my templar it works using

Vampires bane
Aurora javelin
Meteor
Dawnbraker
Dark flare (empowers itself after each cast)

It doesn't work on
Blazing spears
Puncturing strikes
Radiant destruction
Nova
Bat swarm
Heals

To list a few and give you an idea.

It works on light and heavy attacks, so when planning a few rotations make sure not to weave and waste it.

For instance I use

Reflective light for snare and spell critical buff
Then entropy to proc empower from might of the guild
Then meteor
