v-sync input lag?

Anyone on here use v sync when in true fullscreen?

My fps is averagly about 70-90fps playing on a 1080p 60hz tv.

I get a small amount of screen tearing, noting major, and it calms down when in group dungeons and cyro and fps is averaging 50-60fps

So I turned v sync on and the input lag is horrendus, feels so , well slow.

Anyone else experience this?

Gtx 970 msi btw

Someone mentioned adaptive v sync is better from nvidia, anyone comment?

This can be a major problem on Macs. The only time I really notice lag from it is when I'm on my Fire DK Mage (which is why i generally don't play her anymore). The issue being that with the latest OSX v-sync is forced, so switching it off in the game won't actually deactivate it, to switch it off you need to manually override the operating system default through the developer tool quartz....

    In nvidia control panel:
    -Set triple-buffering to OFF.
-Set vertical sync to Application Controlled.
-Turn maximum pre-rendered frames to ZERO.
-Set virtual reality pre-rendered frames to Application Controlled.
-Set Anisotropic Filtering to whatever you like (if you use anisotropic filtering)

In the X:\Users\X\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\Live\usersettings.txt, change the following lines:

    SET GPUSmoothingFrames "0"
    SET PreferExclusiveFullscreen "1"
SET MAX_ANISOTROPY "0" (if you use anisotropic filtering)

Let me know if that helps.

Is anisotropic filtering worth it? My rig can handle pretty much anything thrown at it, but I know there are some settings in some games just not worth the huge performance hit

Like super sampling or whatever it is in ryse

Only been back on pc for a few months and haven't had one in about 10 years other than that, used to just be A and that was it.
