Im not certain.
I DW axe on my NB from time to time and ive never seen a bleed proc with FTC reported when spamming steel tornado. i dont think was paying much attention either so..
I was pretty sure the general consensus was swords > axes because more dmg is going to be more beneficial as you cant proc a bleed for dmging a dmg shield.

Light and heavy attacks and any attack from that weapon like. I have not tested on class powers yet but everything from the skill tree works.Im not certain.

They really fixed the long wait after the bleed took to do damage its not as bad. Btw Hammers with the number of heavy armor Brawlers and heavy mages smashing though 20% armor is pretty great. 34 wiry Sharpened weapons.

I could be wrong but I believe that mace increases your own armour penetration stat by 20%, it does not allow you to penetrate a flat 20% of the targets armour.
Does anyone know whether you get the axe bleed when you use 1h axe anf shield?

The bleed effect comes from the passive you get from 2h and DW, not the axe itself. I don't think sword and shield has that passive so no you will not get the bleed.
