I have tried with and without channeling focus active. Same result, if in dps gear doesn't regen at nearly the same rate even though magicka regen is the same.

Sorry but I dislike misinformation being spread so I'm afraid I must correct you. This is not an attack on you or anything , just dropping some good old fashioned templar knowledge.

You do NOT need to stand in channeled focus as a templar. You just have to cast it ONCE to get the magicka regen buff for, which last for 18 seconds regardless of whether you stay in the rune or not. The other part of channeled focus, major resolve and major ward, is the part that lasts for 8 seconds. You can refresh the armor/spell resist buff for another 8 seconds by simply passing over the rune again, you don't have to stay in it. If you watch you magicka bar closely you will see that 120 magicka every 0.5 second is about 1% on the bar. And that extra 480 magicka every 2 seconds does not show up on the chararcter sheet, the only way to see how it works is with addons or just eyeballing the magicka bar for a few seconds.



And to answer the OP, I'm pretty sure that regen thing is just a visual bug, like the magnus or torugs set piece visual bugs. Could be wrong about that though.

I do hope you're right, but I am sure channelled focus was nerfed in one of the recent patches -I am still searching in the patch notes, but here's a thread from August mentioning itg - or has that been changed again?

Kidding right? I JUST tested this(again). Before I made that post. it's 100% correct. But I'm not sure you actually read what I posted. I said the MAGICKA REGEN buff lasts for 18 seconds. But the ARMOR & SPELL resist buff only lasts for 8 seconds.
And no channeled focus never got any kind of nerf, they fixed it.

Not trying to sound like a jerk or anything, just really tired of the bad info about templars going around on these forums. Misinformation is why we templars can't have nice things, that and ZOS.
