Bank AP?

hey guys,
Does anyone know why we cant bank AP, i mean we now have a currency tab and can bank both gold and tel var but for some reason not AP.

now this wouldnt normally be a problem except the fact that prices are really becoming high (3.4 mil for a motif?) and does anyone here really think this new system with the undaunted will be cheap in the slightest i have 8 characters all who i play with when the mood strikes me, most my chars have about 300/500k AP on each, and im guessing that would easily be enough to buy any head/shoulder i needed, but since they are spread out it potentially could not be.

why is it PvP is so unfriendly towards alts? im already punished enough with the skill lines (1 out of 8 had prox det).

I think that's because Alliance Points is not exactly a currency, although it's used as one. That's kind of a vicious circle

I hope eventually everything becomes account-wide, I think Mount Training should be teachable, one of your character could teach another char or then just a player teach another player and also achievement should have an option to choose if you want to put them account-wide or no. I'd imagine players would make alot of more alts too if everything was account-wide.

My bank covers characters in all 3 alliances, although I only PvP on my EP. Should I be able to bank AP earned on my EP character so that my AD character can go and buy siege weapons if I decide to switch sides in PvP? Would make switching alliances too easy IMO.

With the new changes to AP and it rewarding more, this shouldn't be a huge problem anymore. I know how much of grind PvP is but with recent ESO Live announcing changes to reward more for small group PvP this will make the grind a lot less draining for alts.

Yeah and no, if everything was account wide that would obliterate much of the crown stores purpose and also the idea of progress for an MMO, especially when this game is 2 years old and still hasn't really figured out a proper end game leveling system.

Individual character achievements should stay individual.
And AP isn't a currenty per se, but more something like... say... renown earned fighting for your alliance (even though the game does use it as currency, as we know... which I understand as an way to portray army-issued equipment...). All other games I know of keep PvP-tokens per character after all... (buuuut, in eso with the account-bank, you can trade what you buy with them to your other characters, which is more most games allow...)

We in ESO have more account-wide then many other games I played, and it will be even more once the final phase of the champion system replaces all individual veteran ranks...
Asking for more account-wide stuff is kinda greedy I think
It is also not very well thought out, since it would detract from the time spent gaming to -earn- those things, leaving people with less to do in ESO, which would give rise to more complaints about "lack of things to do", and more people looking for other games to do things in... and of course also completely eliminate the possibility for them to -sell- shortcuts in the crwon store.
All in all, bad for ESO in the long run.
And I would prefer to keep playing ESO for years to come, not whine about it what a great game for alt-making it has been before they shut down the servers...

to be honest i considered that myself but i figured siege really isnt that expensive that it would make a difference, its only the items of a few hundred thousand that it would be noticeable on, then again all my chars are DC so thats not something i need to worry about. ive also heard discussions about alliance rank being the same for all chars in that alliance, maybe they could do something similar, make it 3 separate alliance points, not a ideal solution but at least a work around if it became trouble spending those points on any alliance.

although didn't i hear the possibility they were going to add in alliance switching into the crown store so it wouldnt matter either way if they did that?

yes it will certainly make it alot quicker to gain the AP, hopefully as you say it wont be as difficult to gain it and would make it easie to play alts, lets see how well it works.

I agree i would like to keep playing ESO for years to come however i am of the opinion more alts keep me playing this game, i enjoy switching between chars and having different play styles it keeps things fresh for me, however if they new gear i needed to complete my build was so expensive i would feel i had to stay on one character to earn the amount needed to buy it, which would frustrate me, making the game alt friendly would actually make me more likely to leave, again this is just my opinion i know others see it differently, not saying mine is the right way to go just how i enjoy it. for me the gearing my character part isnt the game its something i do to play the game (although do enjoy that part aswel) but after a while you just wanna be done with it be geared and get on with PvP/Trials/End game dungeons, whatever i fancied that night.

before the patch i had multiple chars all in max level gold gear and i was still happily playing and running the content. i suppose thing is the thing they will never make everyone happy as everyone has there own ideas of how they enjoy playing the game lol.
